Google Easter Eggs

So, as the tagline for Cafe Society says: “if it’s about creativity, entertainment, or leisure, it goes here.”

So here goes…

I’m of the opinion that the folks at Google are pretty savvy in their marketing. The latest email craze seems to be sending various google links around that produce something funny.

For example
http://moon.google.com/
Zoom all the way in to see the finest detail.

You’ll see that the moon is made of cheese

plan a trip from New York to London and read the directions

Step 24 (or thereabouts) says to swim across the atlantic ocean

Are there any more that you guys & gals know about?

Check out Language Tools. From that page, you can set Google’s interface to display such useful languages as

Selecting one of those languages and then returning to the Language Tools page can give some interesting insights. Did you know that the Hacker word for “Hacker” is “0|/|G |-|4xx0|2 !!!111”? Or that the Bork, bork, bork word for “Kannada” is “Kunneda bork-bork-bork”?
