So Google finally indexed the BBQ Pit?
Tuning in with Firefox requires about 4 extra button clicks, including setting up an exception. Not a good look to attract new participants. I don’t remember the last site that gave me such a warning, but if it was my first visit, I wouldn’t return. This has happened before, here, too. Can we just fix that so it stops happening?

Hi, I’m at work now. I use Firefox at work, also, and the warning did not show.
My Kerio Control has suddenly started blocking lots of pages on the Dope
It *isn’t *safe. I routinely waste countless hours of otherwise productive time and shit my pants laughing at the stuff that gets posted here.
I’ll see if I can find out what’s going on.

FWW my Firefox at work, where I have no issue, is an older version. We had to deliberately install an outdated version because some Oracle software would not run with the newer version.
Yes, my Chrome sez your Certificate has expired.
Also FWIW, I have no issues with up to date Safari, Firefox, or Chrome on a Mac. I use adblock on Chrome and Firefox, so could it have to do with ads? I’ve seen unsafe site warnings triggered by ads on other sites from time to time.
Your mom is an unsafe site!
Of course it’s an unsafe site. I mean, all those kitteh pics are really bad for you. And don’t forget Monkey Butlers and rabid Republicans.
Fuck.
lol this is why im here my kind of smartasses ……
Hmm, my Firefox says they have a cert issued by Network Solutions that expires January 10, 2020. What does Chrome report?
I no longer get the message.
I’m on a fairly new IPod and didn’t see a thing. Hmmm
I’m on Chrome and also getting notices on just about every page.
Firefox is showing the padlock symbol with a diagonal line thru it; Chrome is showing “not secure” before the URL, but not showing the red “http:” that I sometimes see.
News flash! As I typed this post in Chrome, the “not secure” changed from black (gray?) to red and an exclamation point in a triangle symbol showed up. Things are going downhill?
Then when I previewed, “not secure” became black again, for about 30 seconds, then red. I guess if I want to be secure, I’ll have to type much faster.
Sorry about all the text, but this is what I can see before adding the exception which allows the site to show:
The owner of boards.straightdope.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.
boards.straightdope.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. The server might not be sending the appropriate intermediate certificates. An additional root certificate may need to be imported. Error code: SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER

And what worries me is that at least three people reading all that are saying “ah — that makes sense now”.
