The Google tool bar lets you do a search on the Web or just the current site. Would using it for searches ease the strain on the SDMB server,or would it just hit the hamster from another direction?
Searching the SDMB with Google is not likely to affect the board, as GoogleBot is gonna index things whether they are later searched on or not. You probably won’t have much luck finding things, though.
Try www.boardreader.com for a decent search of the SDMB that is kid tested, hamster approved.
