“First Middle Last”: One entry, and it’s me!
“First M Last”: 20 entries, only #9 is someone else.
My last name is rare, so that helps.

My name is unique. Searching first+middle+last brings up 0 hits. My first+last name brings up 6 pages of results, all me.
Actually, #9 might be me too. It’s a comment in a guest book of a web site that I don’t remember, but one I might have visited. It’d have to have been around close to ten years ago, at least.
I have a very common name, and if anyone looks for me by it, they will get pages and pages of some lawyer by the same name, and will give up (knowing I would not be a lawyer) long before finally reaching the hits about me.
“First Middle Last” : One and only is me
“Middle Last”: 2 pages, all me
“First Last”: No exact matches
“Middle_Initial Last”: Gave up after a bunch of pages, although my dad was on the second page.
“Last” - Gave up before I found me
“Registered at Last”: Gave up before I found me.
Obviously I go by “Middle Last” and have a very uncommon last name. But someone with my first initial and last name wrote a groundbreaking book about the influence of the internet on society almost a decade ago … and it is referenced EVERYWHERE! (And as dry as the Sahara Desert, I couldn’t get through the first chapter)
Googling my full name - I show up on the first page first entry, but it takes me to one of those people search pages which has tons of others of the same first/last, but a different middle name.
Googling my firstname/lastname? I share it with a couple of actresses, a writer, a photographer, two university professors and an old lady in Maryland (her obit!) among others. I lost interest after a dozen or so pages, as far as I know, the search would have still continued to pull up the more well-known VERY common firstname, SUPER common Lastnames.
Googling my username turns up a few others with the same username, including a very pretty young 20something. I WISH I were still that young and pretty :D. Huh… I wonder how they came by it, I had sort of a story behind my choice of this username.
Full name (first middle last) - one hit. Not me. Also doesn’t appear to be someone who shares my name, just someone with my first and middle on a list followed by someone who has my last.
First last - I gave up after 10 pages, the majority of the hits being about the same two people, neither of whom are me.
My name defines ‘generic’ to the point it may as well be John Smith.
Not even going to bother with Tengu.
Full “first middle last”: just a couple hits total, none are me.
“first last”: about 13,000 hits. The early ones are hits for guys much more famous than me. I keep a pretty low online profile.
One entry on page 4 is a messageboard post by me; google matched my work email address which is like first.last@company.com
Two similar entries appear on Google’s page 6
Then I lost interest.
“First M. Last” results in the third hit. Second if you consider the second hit is a sub-hit from the first hit.
Middle (which is what I use), last. 2nd page.
First, middle, last. Google has zero results to search.
first, last. Couldn’t find me.
Antinor01, they all seem to be me.
My SO’s first, last. the first several hits are him.
An excerpt from my Myspace blog is the first result.
When I try it with my middle name there are no results. Probably because I never use it.
Tried current name, both nickname and full name. Gave up after 10 pages.
Full first name with maiden name got my Amazon.com wedding registry at the top of page 5.
Nickname with maiden name got me on the 2nd link. The first link was a listing of people, one with the nickname, then a comma, followed by someone with my maiden name as a first name. My maiden name is a relatively common last name in another country, but is much more common as a first name in the English-speaking world. I may be one of only a handful of people with that nickname-surname combination in the world.
I married into Google anonymity. The number of people with my full first name and last name in my county who are registered to vote in my county alone is in the teens. As far as nickname-surname now, I was the 2nd person in my network on Facebook with that name, and even at my (homebirth) midwives, there were two of us, due two months apart–and my nickname is not a very common version of my (very common) first name!
“First M. Last”: 4th
“First Middle Last”: 1st and only
“First Last”: 11th, after a dentist, an acting student, and a male porn director
SDMB user name: 242,192,592th (approximately)
That was surprising.
I didn’t expect there to be a hit on my full name at all. At the very least not for a long time until I got into something like phone directory pages or something like that.
There I was on the first page. The ninth hit. It was ironically a link to a 2002 thread on this board where we were talking about this same topic.
And apparently there was a criminal in Tennessee with the same name as me. He was arrested in 1982 for having some explosives, drugs, and stolen property in his apartment and then he was murdered in 1995. His murder is apparently unsolved.
Pages about me come up on the first page for all the combinations that I’ve tried. Most are related to magazines in which I’ve published short stories. A few deal with my exploits in college and graduate school.
“First Middle Last”: no hits at all. Without quotes, first hit (in the form Last, First Middle).
“First M. Last”: no hits at all. Without quotes, seventh page (in the form First Last).
“First Last”: first hit.
“Common Nickname Last”: none of the hits are me
“fachverwirrt”: all but one hit is me in one of my web incarnations.
Full name (first-middle-last): No results.
First/last: My Facebook is the first entry.
Middle/last : Can’t even find something related to me. My middle name is much more common than my first.
SDMB handle: 4th entry (another forum)
Other common internet handle: None.
ETA: Hey, that changed in the last two minutes! Now “First Last” links to photos from a show I did.
Apparently there are some very successful ladies out there with my same name. I got Google listings for a couple of authors, a famous artist, an accomplished doctor. I quit looking for me after about 10 pages.
Now, if I google my first + last name and the word “mississippi”, I appear on the first page. The second link is my sister’s telephone listing (I set up the account, so the phone is listed in my name). The fifth link is my LinkedIn account.
“First Middle Last” gives no hits.
Second entry on the first page for both my real name and the username. For my real name, it’s my Amazon page, and for AP, it’s a Doper feud (the game, not a feud between Dopers).
First page, third entry.
