Google/YouTube Nazis...

What troubles me is that the Real World on hand Experience/Education is being undermined by using google/youtube.
Subtly little by little over years…until.

I do it all the time for quick reference… i.e.“Quiche”. It’s nice to access a multitude of ideas.
But, you know, I don’t try to make a fucking Quiche business out of my new knowledge the next day.

Anyway, I may post on a question, try assert my knowledge on something that I am quite confident of…

There’s always a fucking Google Nazi telling me something different, using current information but answers in a completely wrong context…

Of course that knowledge in Google or YouTube is only a few years old, while my exp was from the past 20-30 years, in which is somehow completely irrelevant or archaic to anyone now.

(Yea, I know about that Sun doesn’t revolve around the Earth thing…It took me a few hundred years to get that in my head…my bad…I’m Ok with that…Shit happens)
I’m not just just ranting for me, but many others also, I have seen dissed…
…I don’t know why I bother Ranting…I’m not good at it…
…I’m just gonna finish my CocoPebbles…:frowning:

What the hell are you on about?

Yeah…
Finish your cereal, have a cup of coffee and when you’re all the way awake come back and try again.
A little background or an example would help a lot.

I’m really disappointed that there isn’t a Downfall parody linked in this thread.

You really shouldn’t post when you’re drunk.

Am I writing cognitive thoughts in a calculative expression derivable, or is my brain a Swiss Cheese Moon…

The space between a atoms electron cloud and its nucleus, is more vast then the Space between stars generally…exponentially speaking.

I wonder if that’s correct…:dubious:

Hard to describe new phenomena when you have to use archaic words to describe it, when there is no words to describe it.

Them google/youtube underminer people are underminers, minining my mine? :frowning:

I think my decoder ring is working here.

Seems that the OP is complaining about internet searches and opponent posters using them to undermine the “beautiful” full of experience posts he has made.

He has a point, but OTOH there is an ocean of information being published every week in many subjects, I once helped with the software setup of an ophthalmology meet in a university, IIRC the main point was how to deal with the staggering reality that in Ophthalmology (that was the case there, but one can put many other fields of knowledge here) hundreds of papers or articles were published every week, meaning that it is impossible even for experts in a field to learn everything (imagine the situation of people that are not involved in a field) so search tools and computers will be the way to go because while it is impossible to remember everything it is possible to be aware of the most important and relevant ideas and then a search helps solve problems or make better diagnostics.

That BTW is the point of tools like IBM’s Watson.

I am bitching because it has been an ongoing thing rather than a singular thing…the ongoing is becoming greater and greater, until what’s the freaking point of discussion…GOOGLE IT!

Then poof no one needs anyone, it’s online.

The English language is really great for small talk. (Where’s the toilet?, I’d Hit dat!)

Try to explain something more complex, you need graph paper and a french curve…linguistically.

Novels are easy to write…just make shit up.

Write science?..pfft…break out the hard backs and prepare for ridicule.

Before Google…THEY HAD TO BREAK OUT THE HARD BACKS TOO!

Information age…:smack:

Thanks for clearing that up.

If you’re comparing Google and YouTube to Nazis, you have no perspective. On the other hand, you have a nice array of smilies.

My response in video: nsfw

You would have sex with the toilet?

Is this a new thing? Maybe I should google it to find out.

You sure those aren’t Coca Pebbles?

Yeah? Where’d you learn that tidbit of wisdom, Parteigenosse?

I’d put the OP’s posts through Google Translate, if I knew what language they were in.

From the priests of the Temples of Syrinx.

I tried asking, but all I got was “would you like me to search the web for ‘Siri, what the FUCK’?”

Rule #34.

I’m surprised there is no market for books by the OP. He writes clearly.
