Google +

Don’t worry, Google+ cannot kill other sites.

Relevant YouTube/Google+ rant.

i was hoping you’d be intelligent enough to realize that comment was a grazing blow of all three possibilities

Yes, it’s always a good idea to blame the audience when your ripostes don’t land.

Look up TPP

your ignorance knows no bounds did you actually mean riposts as in to say rip off, or was that a typo, either way a repost would be if i were to readdress the issue within another post, this was a bump simply because it’s now going into mainstream media that these things are happening and are therefor relevant again, i see you found your blankey

Riposte:

Main Entry: ri·poste

Date: 1707
1 : a fencer’s quick return thrust following a parry 2 : a retaliatory verbal sally : retort 3 : a retaliatory maneuver or measure

What was that about ignorance again?

Yeah, that’s going to happen. As they say “Google+ is Google.” The goal is to convert all Google accounts to G+ accounts. They want to consolidate under one platform.

And, honestly, it’s not a horrible idea, in theory. It’s just that, in practice, Google+ is not ready to take over. It doesn’t provide the same services, even with the tacked on anonymous pages to accommodate YouTubers who wanted to use pseudonyms.

See the comment system they rolled out on YouTube. It’s practically alpha software. The top YouTubers have disabled comments on their videos, the system is so messed up. People are even getting malware. And the actual video owners find it nearly impossible to handle the comments.

They just should have beta tested it. First just give everyone a Google+ page to replace their YouTube profile. (Anyone who wanted to use their real name had already chosen to do so.) Then let video producers opt choose which system to use for a while, asking them why when they switch back to the old system. Eventually, they’d figure out what everyone wanted and roll out a superior comments system.

That’s how they’ve done ever past YouTube upgrade, and, while people would hate it because it’s different, they never had any significant problems.

There’s just no reason that the average YouTube should even notice the difference between the new system and the old. They shouldn’t feel like they are on Google+, but just a better YouTube comment system.

What bugs me even more is that Google hasn’t even acknowledged the problem.

that’s interesting, i would say the developed the problem, kinda hard to develop something you never acknowledged. they are completely aware of what they are doing and so far, they are doing a damn fine job at monopolizing something that should have remained in the public domain.
