Apparently you don’t understand our laughter at the Republican’s unbelievably inept attempts to do so.
Ah, identity politics - the dog shit on the lush green lawn of American democracy.
A, the Hispanic electorate is not pro-illegal-immigration, and two, McCain is pro-amnesty, pro-legalization, and pro-citizenship, even more so than Obama. He thinks white prople are lazy and probably would propose free hot fudge sundaes for all illegal immigrants if he thought he could get away with it. Don’t you remember his “$50-an-hour white lettuce picker” dustup?
The real racial issues in this election are that Hispanics are more prejudiced against blacks than whites are, and older white women (read: Hillary supporters) are more prejudiced against blacks than white men are. Democrats cannot openly discuss these factors, but you can bet they talk about it all the time in their private strategizing.
That was a turd all right. Don’t know that I’d go blaming dogs though.
The ‘real’ racial issue is everybody hates blacks, but especially older white women like Hillary supporters–but probably not fine Christian ladies like Palin who are Christian, and Hispanics! sweet-Jesus-Shepherd-of-Judea, Hispanics hate blacks the worst, WAY more than white men, so Democrats are just liars and hypocrites. They hate blacks every bit as bad as the GOP and don’t even throw nice parties for them. But everybody better believe Obama and his two-faced Democrats talk this shit all the time in private strategy sessions.
Yep, we have a strong entry in the partisan delusion sweepstakes.
See, reasonable reactions would be a head-slap and ‘oops, don’t know what the hell they were thinking on this one.’ Wallowing even deeper in shit so to throw it further and wider is pretty much guaranteed to repel bystanders, regardless of skin pigment. While you still end up slathered in shit. Which, as a spirited defense of the GOP, fails on every level and in fact invents a few more just to fail on those too.
For the record:
SurveyUSA, 9/14-16:
New Mexico Latinos:
McCain ® 28
Obama (D) 69
Nationally, according to the Research 2000 daily tracking poll for Daily Kos:
McCain ® 27
Obama (D) 68

So the rally was today (well, yesterday):
I wonder how many of that likely-exaggerated 500 count weren’t white.
Hard to argue with, but since Hispanics were 2-1 in favor of Hillary, they’d probably be 90-10 Hillary vs. McCain.
Since Hispanics seem to be 2.5-1 in favor of Obama, I fail to see how you can make that point.
Anyone show up with ‘Macacans for McCain’ signs?
I think McCain would take 25-30% of the Hispanic vote. Maybe he can increase that b/c he is more friendly towards immigrants than much of the GOP.
As an aside, my wife is a N. Virginia Asian and none of her circle would vote for Obama. However, most that I know can’t vote so I’m just sayin’.
I don’t know, I think the Republicans are just oozing sincerity. Oozing something, at any rate.
