GOP requirements list

I seems to remember from a couple years ago- maybe in the run-up to the 2010 elections- a leaked list of policy position requirements for GOP candidates. Maybe it was only for a single state, or maybe there were slightly similar lists for different states, I can’t remember the exact details.

Does this ring a bell with anyone? It was more extensive than a simple oath to Grover Norquist but it had that kind of spirit, namely that GOP candidates had to swear to stick to a list of policy positions if they wanted any support from the party, indeed if they wanted to be on the GOP ticket at all.

My google-fu fails me right when producing this list would come in handy making my point in another thread. 'Dopers, help!

When I was registered as a Republican, I got a lot of single page brochures in the mail from various different groups, supporting one candidate or another. They would list the issues that concerned them, and tried to justify he support for a candidate.

"Joe Schmoe supports Proposition 123. <check>

Joe Schmoe supports tightening DUI laws! <check>

Joe Schmoe voted NO to cutting law enforcement jobs! <check>

Support Joe Schmoe this November!

This brochure is printed by the San Diego County Sheriffs Association, and is not affiliated with Joe Schmoe or the Joe Schmoe Campaign organisation."

Are you talking about something like that?

No. IIRC they were internal GOP documents, a circulated list which candidates had to affirm in advance to be able to claim GOP, erm, status or what-have-you. I think it got attention at one point for an item involving opposition to Sharia law, as if American politicians have ever been for it…
