However, I did want to say I will be in DC for the night next Tuesday (22nd).
I’m staying at the Holiday Inn Silver Spring and if anybody down there is feeling bored or maybe want to grab some din-din, let me know. I know I’ll be bored, too, and I can grab a cab to wherever.
I haven’t been down there for about a year, so I’m just letting y’all know.
Hey, you’ll be up the street from my work. We can catch some dinner or something. Let me know a time and all. I can stop by after work anytime after 3, but I can stay later or whatever.
Hm, doesn’t soud too bad, Ed but we’ll have to figure out some timing issues. I don’t want you waiting around for little old me. I’m down for an appointment at Walter Reed that is set for 3pm and I don’t know how long they’ll make me wait.
You wouldn’t want to devour DC. Too much pork, hot air, etc…
Actually it’s not much of a probelm. We will be doing extra work so I will probably have to stick around any way. Plus I think there are a few more People from Silver Spring on here too.

Dinner would be marvy. As far as time goes, I get home from work around 4:30. Since you’ll be in my neck o’ the woods, I could drive down (or take the train) easily enough.
I’d love to grab some dinner with you folks on Tuesday. I work in Rockville and could meet you in Silver Spring (or wherever) any time after 5:30ish.

The Heap and I were discussing this in IMs earlier, and he said he’d email us all with details and such.
It seems that there are a lot of fine upstanding restaurants that are very close to his hotel, so perhaps we could dine at one of them sometime around 5:30 or 6 pm. (Depending on when others in this thread can make it, of course.)
I can make it at any time, just let me know. Though I will need to leave around 7:30. Sounds like a fun time.
I can make it any time as well, as long as “any time” is after 4:30.
If RTFirefly is coming, he might have the longest drive, so it might depend on when he can make it.

Meh. I rarely go on-line during the weekend. I sit at a computer all day at work so I want to enjoy my free time Internet-free.
Now, it seems we got another person or two, and y’all have to work up to a certain point. That’s good, because I have no idea how long I may be at the hospital, though I assume it won’t be later than 5 since the clinics close at 4 or so.
My plan is to get back to my hotel for about 5-5:30 and be ready to go. Folks can meet me there or I can meet anywhere else by cab. dantheman mentioned a restaurant he said was nice. Unfortunately, when I spoke to him Friday night I was remarkably drunk and looking to put off planning - but if we can do it here and save the e-mails for later this evening when I’m packing, that would work for me. No reason to make this more complicated than we have to. It’s just dinner.
