When I was working at Edwards AFB I heard about some guys who mis-used a Huey. The dry lake beds fill up with a metre or so of water in the spring, and some guys decided to water ski by being towed around by a Huey. There was no incident or damage, but I heard all involved were court martialled for misuse of Government property.
It amazes me that a licensed pilot could be so ignorant of physics. In his honor, I think I’ll tie the left main gear of my cessna to the bumper of my car and try taking off…

It’s the only explanation. No word on where this occurred, but yes, one would hope a pilot would know better. Obviously, the man is intelligent enough to learn to fly a chopper and stupid enough to wreck one.
