Got a Q for you

Which of these President’s mothers would say that she did not vote for her son and why?
-Woodreau Wilson
-Roosevelt
-John Kennedy

Teddy’s mom, because Franklin was running at the time?

Ooh! Ooh! What do I get if I win?

What did you have in mind Arken?

I don’t even know the answer… that’s why I was asking. I’m thinking that maybe it was Teddy Roosevelt because he became President after McKinley was assassinated.

Does that sound right?

Taft is not on the list, but his mom said she didn’t like his being president, because he had a judicial mind. Taft does seem to have preferred the Chief Justiceship, or Judiciary, or Judgity. Whatever that post is.

By the way, is Paul Harvey dead yet? Because I’m going to start a whole bunch of innocuous, semi-patriotic rumors about him once he’s gone…

Assuming that you mean FDR, not TR, the obvious answer is Wilson. Women did not have the vote when he ran.

My guess would be Kennedy, seeing as how they had already delat with assassinations, and and Catholic President wasn’t the most popular idea at the time, it wouldn’t suprise me if mom didn’t want her son to be president.

‘delat’ = ‘dealt’; ‘and and’ = ‘and a’

C’mon, I nailed this baby. Like Arken said, What do I win???

c’mon guys…I need some help here.

I like that spelling, Woodreau…funny, he doesn’t look French!

oopsie… i caught that right after I posted. I was HOPING…that no one would mention it.

Well… This is a bonus question on an accounting test that I have to take on Monday. I like your answer. Thank You Stuyguy.
But wouldn’t you just like the satisfaction of knowing that your right… I mean… who needs a prize anyway?

stuyguy is right. Women’s suffrage in the USA: 1920. Woodrow Wilson’s presidency: 1913-21.

Mrs. Wilson wouldn’t have recognized her son on the ballot, because that’s not how he spelled his first name.

Mrs. Roosevelt would have been confused, not knowing whether the candidate was Theodore or Franklin.

But Mrs. Kennedy would have voted for her son, simply because he was running against Nixon.

OK, ignoring the simulpost:

  1. What does it have to do with accounting?

  2. What kind of test is it where they tell you the questions in advance?

As I said earlier… yeah… I realized I spelled the name incorrectly. SORRY!
Seeing as they held office at different times… and women couldn’t vote until 1920…I’m sure Mrs. Roosevelt wasn’t confused.
Franklin 1933 - 1945

Theodore 1901 - 1909

I have no idea what it has to do with accounting. This is a junior level college class. And I really don’t know why she gave us the question in advance.

I was just using SDMB as a resource. Thanks everyone…for all your help.

“…Thank You Stuyguy. But wouldn’t you just like the satisfaction of knowing that your right… I mean… who needs a prize anyway?..”

Not me, jjj!

Really, I’m delighted to help, and good luck on your test.
