Got any grapes?

A duck walks into a bar and asks…

Well, we all know how the joke comes out. Grapes have been 88 cents per pound in my area for about the last two or three months. I bought another two pounds today. I love having me some grapes in the fridge when I have a craving.

Mundane and pointless to be sure. What is everybody else blessed with an abundance of?

Try freezing them for a really yummy treat!

I’ve got too much Halloween candy. Blergh. Make me stop sneaking Snickers from my kids’ bags!

Well, I didn’t, but Google was my friend. I’d heard it with raisins, for some reason.

As for the OP: Tea - I can’t drink caffeine anymore, so it’s lasting much longer than usual. We buy it in 96-gallon packs.

They’ve been so good this year, too! Extra sweet, and almost no blighted ones!
I am “blessed” with an overabundance of acorns, which means the squirrels have not even touched the jack-o-lantern on the porch. Yay!

Also, Halloween candy. It started raining halfway through trick or treat night, so my husband only got about halfway through it before the kids stopped coming. As we usually get a good turnout, we have a ton leftover. I have not yet had a single piece of it, and it’s sitting here at work three feet behind me so, I apparently also have an overabundance of willpower, for which I am exceedingly grateful.

Where the hell are you getting grapes for 88 cents a pound? I’ve never seen them for less than $1.89 a pound!

No kidding, here too. The ones i normally like best (red globes) were like $2.59/lb this week so I bought black seedless. Bleck.

I only have sour grapes. Do you still want them?

Not since the vasectomy

Tucson, AZ, at Wal-Mart. Also at Safeway once or twice, but Wally World has had them 88 cents a pound practically for forever.

88 cents a pound is amazingly cheap. I just bought some grapes yesterday and I think they were $1.79 a pound and they were the cheapest ones.

I had very few trick-or-treaters on Halloween so I had a bowl full of candy left over (I didn’t expect many kids so I only bought about 3 pounds of candy; only six kids came by all night.) I’ve been eating it (trying not to overdo it and failing) for nearly a week.

Then I managed to lose a filling on the last Tootsie roll. :smack:

I just bought $5 worth of black sweet delicious seedless grapes at the flea market today! They were a dollar something a pound; I don’t know, it’s an enormous bag of grapes. They are so excellent this year. Mmmmmmmmm…

I have an overabundance of steaks in my freezer! Last month, on my Angel Food order (angelfoodministries.org), I thought I ordered the assorted grill meats box. Well, either I goofed my order, or they goofed my delivery. Instead of five pounds of assorted grill meats, I got five pounds of steak!

Oh, yeah, the Halloween candy here, too!

My neighbor planted grape vines next to the fence we share about 10 years ago. I have no grapes, but plenty of vines and dried up raisins hanging off them. They always tasted sour so I never harvested them. (We should have a yucky or disgusted look smiley) Supermarket grapes taste so much better.
I’ve got an abundance of weeds, poison ivy and grape vines in the backyard that I have to cut back / down / out one of these days if it doesn’t snow first.
