Why do I find today’s strip endearing? :dubious:
Bucky’s getting set up for something. Don’t know what, yet. But there is going to be something at the end of all this.
April Fool’s Day is two weeks off…
Baah. . . you’re way too cynical . . . and so is Bucky. That’s the point of it. Satchel is genuinely sweet, and Bucky cannot accept that.
“Gift Street Treat” - I *love * it!
Hey, what’s not to love about pizza?
Yeah, but on yesterday’s strip, as soon as the Dogs at Playgroup found out that the cat was Bucky, they all started being nice to him.
Which means that they all respect him because of what satchel has told them about him…or he’s being set up for something…
And the day before, Satchel stopped him from eating roadkill.
Unless I’m mistaken, that wasn’t roadkill…it was poop.
That would be different then, wouldn’t it?
Yeah, that’s for rolling in.
I can’t imagine that Satchel is up to something. I don’t think he has an insincere bone in his body.
Or the brains to set Bucky up like that.
Awww. It reminds me of a Kliban Cat puzzle I used to have. The one that said something like, “If I had two dead mousies, I’d give you one.”
I am of the school that contends that Satchel is constitutionally incapable of setting Bucky up.
Bucky, on the other hand, is small-minded, mean, and paranoid. It will be quite possible for him to convert a sincerely friendly gesture Satchel might make to him into an occasion for catastrophe.
I see a substantial time out in Bucky’s near future.
Satchel isn’t actually stupid - if you read regularly, you’ll note he’s often pretty bright about things. He just looks dumb on account of his breed. He’s just totally innocent.
Count me as another reader who can’t wait to see how the current story pans out.
