What’s your advice for growing them?
Our recently purchased house has a small strawberry patch along the front walkway & it seems to be thriving, but I don’t know beans about berries. Am I supposed to be doing something?
Yes… there are techniques for making sure the fruit doesn’t sit on the ground and get wet and moldy… but I’m no expert. BTW, where do you live?
Central Indiana.
The patch is only, maybe, 10’ long. My FIL said something about straw, perhaps I’m supposed to lay that as mulch to keep the berries off the ground while they ripen?
(yes, I know, I could just ask FIL but he’s on my shit list right now)
I think that’s all you need to do… but sooner or later some expert will come along and tell you the best and easiest way to do it.
