I have two 2004 calenders. One of them has photographs of gargoyles from medieval cathedrals, and the names of the months, days of the week, and holidays in English, French, Spanish, and Italian. The other is a “Ginger Cats” calender, with photographs of orange-striped and yellow-striped cats and kittens.
I also bought a “Mexican Folk Art” calender as a Christmas present for my brother and sister-in-law. It has the names of the months, days of the week, and holidays in both English and Spanish.
I’ve already bought the Chick-Fil-A 2004 calendar from a friend who was selling them in fund-raising efforts for her church, but I really just bought it to help the friend and get the coupons that are in the calendar. I’m hoping that for Christmas, I’ll recieve the More Time Moms calendar from flylady.net. It has lots of cool stickers and stuff; with three kids, two of whom are home-schooled, a really good calendar is essential!
Got my Big Grid (for those who can’t see so well) and Anna Kournikova (for those who can) so far.
I ususally like to put 5 up in our room.
Gary Patterson’s Cat ones are best.
I want to get a Garfield one next.
Then maybe a Rabbit one for my son.
I just ordered my Justice Leauge calender last night. Might have been able to find one in town, but I’m not willing to brave the malls again before the new year (unless absolutely necessary).
Two others I’m interested in have art by Gorey and Elvgren, but I’m willing to wait until those are discounted.
I’ve got an oversize japanese woodblock prints calendar. It’s a little pricey at 25.00 but it has all the japanese holidays on it, (Which is nice for me since i’m a shintoist) and when i’m done with each month the big prints look nice framed.
