So they are coke suckers? I actually believe that more than I believe cock suckers. I think they actually prefer that their cocks be sucked and it seems to be working for them.
Better make up your mind between baked, broiled, stewed, or fricasséed. And does one serve red or white wine with a black bird?
So if these unions are so weak and ineffectual, why even bother taking away collective bargaining rights? Just steamroll over the poor bastards. The poor morons won’t even know what hit them.
And I believe we’ve already covered how idiotic your attempting to spread your experience to cover everything really is so I don’t think I need to address it again. Do I?
Oh my. What ridiculously loaded language you use.
The same wages and benefits as those in private companies? Maybe it’s my ignorance showing, but why shouldn’t they be making the same? Do you think they should be making less?
No, in fact, we are talking about people who perform valuable services for our society, and should receive appropriate pay and benefits paid for by our taxes.
Why not? You want competent government employees, don’t you? Why shouldn’t the government be a competitive employer?
It doesn’t he just sees the race card everywhere.
Sure you did, you could have gotten a different job. Remember that is the only leverage that you have with your employer without collective bargaining.
Thats just the way THEY pronounce it.

It could get a hell of a lot worse. The police say they will use force if the gov. tells them to remove the protesters. That is all we need. Have pictures of police abusing American citizens involved in a peaceful rally that does not even threaten the government. Those pictures will travel the world.
Because public employees are professionals providing essential services for the public good, and that deserves fair and equitable compensation. If you want competent, experienced, reasonable people in those positions, you pay them well, give them good benefits and recognize the importance of what they do.
Wisconsin does not have a deficit because of union employees. It has a deficit due to the Bush endless tax cuts slashing revenue. Walker cut corporate taxes too, to fabricate a deficit so he could do what he intended to do all along. It is an excuse to bust unions and get money where it belongs, in the hands of the superwealthy. Why do people still believe the crap republicans say? Look at what they do.
Repubs always increase the deficits. They cut taxes and spend like maniacs . Then when Dems get in all they talk about is deficits and cutting. That prevents Dems from putting in any programs. We just can not afford it .
Want to get back to a balanced budget. The Dems can do it. Fuck, Clinton left Bush with a surplus. Bush’s debt hole is just very hard to fill. It could take a long time ,but idiots like Walker are cutting more taxes in a time of deficit, How does that make sense? Especiallyl since Reagan and every Repub since, has given us ample proof that jobs are not created by gutting corporate taxes or taxes to the super rich. It is fantasy. Jobs are created by demand. Demand requires the consumer to have more spendable income. I wish it were difficult to understand so i could understand the people who vote Repub against their own interests. i can’t.
I heard on the radio the other day that public sector employees, on average, have a higher level of education than private sector ones. So, using commonly accepted reasoning for these questions, public sector employees really should make more than their private (counter)parts.
heard on the news
a republican state senator proposed accepting the compensation that the workers have agreed to as well as suspension of collective bargaining or the budget cycle (two years). the governor rejected that compromise.
Is it true that Scott Walker had a 2.3 GPA when he got kicked out of Marquette U for cheating?
His campaign said he had a GPA of 2.59
He certainly didn’t graduate, and his transcripts would be private, but I can find no proof he was kicked out for cheating…seems like that would be public knowledge.
With a crappy 2.5 GPA, if there was cheating, the school may have told him “look, you’re a poor student, you’re not going to get into graduate school with your grades, you’re obviously not that invested in your education, if you ‘leave’ now we won’t put this academic dishonesty issue into your transcripts.” They wash their hands of him, and with his own poor scholarship, his chances – after 4 years – of being accepted into another decent school right away would be limited, at best, serving as his punishment. It happens all the time. “This school just isn’t a good fit for you…” kinds of things.
“Republican, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son…”
Apparently it is, if you have no values and empathy.
Why the heck would you announce to the world that you were, at best. a C+ student? I am sure glad I didn’t pay for that education at Marquette. Wait… I think I am paying for it, or will be, for the rest of my career.
On a further note, Walker is putting the lie to the idea that this is anything but a union busting move. The unions have offered the complete financial package he says he wants. A republican senator attempted to offer an amendment that would do just that and not remove collecting bargaining rights. Walker says NO.
nothing substantial to add, but some of the protesters found the perfect slogan:
