Jews carved out a niche in certain fields like the diamond exchange precisely because they had historically been barred from many other professions, owning lands, etc. It is not remotely similar to a privileged group who actually run a country barring minorities from certain professions.
And Jews didn’t control all the newspapers and banks, nor most of them. Please feel free to provide a citation to the contrary.
I can certainly imagine that (due to being prohibited from owning land or doing certain other things) Jewish people became stereotypically prominent in businesses where you could make good money without owning any land or “crossing a line” in other ways. Not a majority necessarily, but enough to form a stereotype in people’s minds.
In addition, certain doctrinaire Christians apparently refused to enter the loan business, so there was an opportunity.
I don’t see any difference. Discrimination is still discrimination even if the group doing it is not the strongest one. Certainly if you expect for the strongest group to dismantle their discriminatory practices, you must demand that the weaker groups also disband theirs. Apparently everything is true about Jewish crimes during the war but it’s been hushed up and Israel is trying to force Poland to forget it. Poles on the other hand turn a deaf ear towards Israel’s rabid accusations which are nevertheless true. Poles did harm the Jews.

Once upon a time I dated a Polish guy. He was born and raised here in the US, but many of his family were from Poland. He told me that many Poles didn’t trust the Jews because they didn’t own land. I said, didn’t you tell me a week ago that Jews weren’t allowed to own land in Poland and selling land to a Jew in Poland could get all involved the death penalty? Yes, he said. Well - that’s a catch-22, we don’t trust you because you don’t own land here but we’ve forbidden you from buying land and we’ll kill anyone who tries to sell to you. I can’t help but wonder if this is something of that sort.
(Note, I have no idea whatsoever if it was ever illegal or a capital crime to sell real estate to Jews in Poland at any time, I am merely relating a conversation I once had with someone else trying to explain why his old aunts hated Jews.)

I want to insist this debate is for the Polish people so I’m sorry. Americans don’t have a clue about this debate and conflict between Jews & Poles, Israel and Poland. It started when the ambassador of Israel to Poland went to Auschwitz for a commemoration and publicly decried Polish extermination Camps. The IPN followed by proposing a law to forbid blaming Poland for these crimes against the Jewish during the Holocaust. Which got passed by the government.
Jews actually often hate Poland because they say that the Poles acted worse than the Nazis during the war.
Poles largely hate the Jews because of their Stalinist crimes against the Polish anti-communist opposition and have proof of, yes, even Jews joining the Nazis who harmed their own kind.
This is a seething conflict in Poland right now.
