GTA V is so over the top sexist and violent that it’s like the movie Machete. You simply cannot take it seriously which is why the whole thing is so much fun.
I really enjoy the world they created here much more than any previous edition. Just walking around it feels like a realy living breathing city. There are so many signs and billboards to read that you could spend a day just doing that.
My favorite so far is an ad on a bus bench encouraging companies to place their ad there. “Be seen by tens of people daily!”.
That just makes the sexism worse, because it means they can’t hide behind the excuse that it would be “unrealistic” for a woman to get a protagonist role.
Damn it, I figured if I didn’t keep up with the bike I’d end up busted or wasted by the cops, or failing the mission. Oh well, money ain’t too hard to come by.
On the sexism, I have a theory that a future DLC will be a female protagonist. Notice on the character switch that there’s four spaces, but only 3 characters…
Another theory of mine is that of GTA IV’s endings the cash option is hinted as canon. Why? Niko’s ‘gone quiet’. I reckon after Roman is gunned down he figures crime does not pay and settles down with Kate McCreary. On the other hand, maybe he went for revenge and UL Paper guy had him silenced. In one of the briefings he tells Niko to retire and sends you annoyed texts if you cause too much chaos
The 4th spot in the character wheel is for your multiplayer character in GTA Online when that launches on Oct 1. All you’ll need to do to go into multiplayer is switch characters just like you do in the regular game…
However, I do agree with you that a female protag would make a lot of sense for DLC.
I had the exact same thought process and made the same choice you did…and then he crashed his bike. Luckily Franklin picked up the loot and it didn’t hurt too much.
I just unlocked Trevor. So far, Franklin is my favorite to play. I love his driving special ability. What’s Michael’s?
Ah crap, there goes that theory. I reckon they missed an opportunity in not having one of the three (preferably Trevor, my least favourite) as a female lead.
He can slow time while on foot, very useful in shoot outs. So far Michael is my favourite character to play, even though his kids are possibly the most annoying characters in any game ever. I can’t decide which one I hate more. I did cheer when he threw a chair at Jimmy’s TV.
Michael basically has bullet time. Must be a descendant of John Marston… 
Can’t find Hao. Can’t call him(busy). Had to leave so I exited the first race. Do I just wait for him to pop up?
Races are only at night, IIRC. Are you trying to find him during the day?

I rather liked the That Scene Where Trevor Asks Questions. Not in the sense that “Aha! I finally get to do it!” but in how it was used and for what purposes. I can see how people would think it’s on the pro rather than anti side but it’s quite different from what those contemptible cunts at 24 and CoD did. Perhaps British irony/satire/indirectness will go over a lot of people’s heads and they’ll think GTA5 is in favor of it?
Also, is it me or is the song roster a little meh for this game?

Ok, I just got GTA 5 in the mail for the xbox and I read an article yesterday saying that Rockstar said to not install the play disk onto the hard drive but to a USB thumb drive to reduce lag.
Can anyone confirm?
Also the article said to do it on a USB drive that is formatted for the 360. I just went to Amazon and they have a 16Gb one already formatted for the 360 but they want like $40 for it. Is this necessary? I already paid $60 for the game I don’t really want to pay another $40.

Play disc on USB > Play disc in drive > Play disc on HD
Oh, I don’t have an Xbox so I don’t know how the formatting works, but I can’t imagine that you’d have to buy a special drive. The preformatting is probably just a convenience, no?
You plug the thumb drive in, it formats it “properly”.
