Several times, in fact!
Anticipation is rising exponentially in the breast of this retired sailor. My schedule permitting, I shall see the boys (and Joan Osbourne) several times this summer, including shows in VA, NJ and NY.
I’m really looking forward to the shows in Camden as my darling wife is actually letting me regress to the point where she’s allowing me to crash over an old buddy’s house just outside Philly.
Anyone else planning their “Summer Getaways” around the Dead’s schedule?
I was so excited when I heard the Dead were playing in Texas this summer. Woo-hoo, it’s sweaty dance your arse off time.
Then I discovered that they were playing Willy’s picnic on the 4th.
As much as I love de boys, there is no way I’m willing to stand around for hours in the blazing Texas sun just to see them perform for an hour or less. Just can’t bring myself to do it.
Boo-hoo, I won’t get my dancing fix until String Cheese play this fall.
Actually, The Dead are headlining at Willie’s picnic this year. Two sets plus an encore. Willie is touring with the band starting 27 June, too.
Too bad they didn’t call themselves “The Living Dead”, as in “Night of,” which could have been every one of their non-daytime concerts.
I always liked the name juxtaposition of their first concert album, fly.
Live Dead.
Maybe I should be using brackets.
Ta-I’m may have to rethink this!
I am getting tickets to the June 28th show in Camden, NJ. I got them from the Dead’s lottery system.
YeeeeeeeeeeeeHAW.
