Often, yes. Beautiful faces excite me in a way that genitals don’t. Porn that doesn’t show faces isn’t just not hot, it’s creepy. But then, I’m a girl–seems like most porn that’s marketed to girls involves faces a lot more than porn for guys, we’re just not turned on by pictures of random penises.
Oh yeah, and I’d go with great face/OK body. Most of the time the body is covered up with clothes anyway, so who cares if it’s not perfect? I have sex in the dark anyway.

Cool- it’s not just me then. Not that I watch porn or anything, but when I do I’m always really turned off by close-ups on “the act” itself (i.e. the moving parts without the shot of the actors themselves; an occasional close-up is one thing, but some spend the entire time on just this.
I wonder if there’s been a study on how people react to “face shot porn” as opposed to “body shot porn”.

I used to think it didn’t matter to me, that a great body would make up for a so-so face. Recent experiences have shown me that the opposite seems to be my preference. Call it a learning experience, of sorts.

I prefer ok face/great body I think. I like the way people move and if I’m going to start drooling over the physical it’s going to be a over a good body. Looking at past romantic interests it has always been either conversational ability or a good body that I’ve been attracted to.

but i have to agree with those that say personality matters, even for just a “fast fuck” if a persons soul is rotten why would you want to stick anything inside of them.

About someone in particular? Rarely happens, but in this case I certainly always have her face in mind. Actually, when I think about it, it’s the only part of the body I’ve clearly in mind, the rest being a rather blurry concept (which isn’t surprising since in this case, I normally don’t know what the body looks like exactly. If I know it, I probably don’t have to masturbate anymore).
When it’s not about a particular person, they’ve normally a perfect everything, anyway, and the situation is perfectly ideal too, so it doesn’t apply. And situation, words play a more important part in these fantasies. Once again, the physical appearance is a rather blurry and changing concept (doesn’t mean that when actual intercourse is involved, the physical appearance plays a similarily minor role).
When I think about it, “what exactly do you have in mind when you masturbate?” (not “what fantaisies”, or “what kind of people”, but rather "are you fantasies situationnal or much more visual, do words play a part, do you have a clear mental image of the “partners”, do you fantasize about specific persons, etc…) would be an interesting IMHO question.
No to the first question. But I wouldn’t use a picture only depicting, say, breasts, either. And given the choice between both, I’d go for the face pictures.
I rarely pleasure myself to a picture anyway, prefering my imagination. But in this case, the face (and also, quite important too, facial expression) is most certainly my main criterion to pick some girl’s picture over another. All have great bodies and great faces anyway so the choice is rather between “stunning faces and great bodies” and “beautiful faces and stunning bodies”.
Of course, a nude (or scandily dresed, depening on the taste) is normally more titillating than a dressed, but still people are attracted by different things. Someone will notice first in the streets women with great legs, someone else women with large breasts, a third one great faces, etc…
And I would point out once again that the face bear expressions, that give away a great deal of informations about the person and this plays an important part in attraction. An objectively beautiful face can become unatractive due to the expressions, while I’ve never seen an expressive pubic area.
I second that. “Eyes are the mirror of the soul”. What could be more titillating than reading desire in a woman’s eyes? (on second thought, desire and submission is more titillating)
My answer to this depends on how you are defining a great face. If it’s a great face physically, and completely devoid of the influence of its owner’s personality, then I’d go with the great body, because if it’s a good person then the face will be pleasant to look at anyway.
On the other hand, if we’re talking about the great face being just how nice it is to look at, taking everything into account, then I’d definitely prefer the great face, because it implies a more interesting person (this would apply to a hypothetical one-night stand, too, though). Also for all the other reasons mentioned. This is probably my ‘actual’ answer to the question.
Well, would there be a market for porn if people walked around naked and had sex in public places all the time? You can just go out into the world and look at people’s faces, after all. The face porn industry would also have to compete with a large existing library of photos of people, and they’re usually available for free.

Bodys and faces will both breakdown over time, but the face will likely outlast the body almost everytime.
Could I choose average on both? Both a great face and body are rather intimidating to me. I suppose I could relax around a guy with an average face/great body sooner than the opposite, if I couldn’t have a nice ol’ regular guy.
Straight male here. I’d have to say face. I really appreciate a deliciously voluptuous body, especially below the waist. But all of the times that I’ve become ‘smitten’ over looks, it has been a pretty face or even just really fabulous eyes or smiles that drew me in.
