IIRC it was Richie stationed in Thule the last year of the show when he wasn’t really on. Chuck just wasn’t there the second season.

First, Captain Jack Harkness is an alias. He stole the identity from a dead pilot. His real name has never been revealed.
Second, he says that he discovered that two years of his memory had been erased from his mind. Who did it and why? This looks like a set up for a future episode, but it never came.

in the season one finale, Mandy was a White House adviser/Josh Lyman’s love interest at the time the group was attacked and President Bartlet et al were shot at by the assassin who was really shooting at Charlie. In the 1st episode of season two, which picked-up right after the shooting, Mandy was nowhere to be seen, wasn’t taken to the hospital and was never heard or mentioned again. What happened to Mandy?
