Great White's "Psycho City" question

I spent some time searching around on the web, but couldn’t find any answer to this, so I’m hoping someone here knows.

At the beginning (and another bit in the middle) of the Great White song “Psycho City”, there’s what sounds like a recording of a phone call from some guy who is apparently hunting and/or killing mob guys. Does anyone know what that is? Is it a real-world recording, or something that was just done for the song?

Someplace, somewhere I once read an interview with Jack Russell was talking bout some of the crazy voice mails the band would get from fans, and that the recording on “Psycho City” was a real phone message they had once gotten. I’m sketchy on details, though.

Whoa, it’s a message left for the band? That makes it even more bizarre than it already sounds.
