I listed several Christmas Albums that I’m aware of.
If your favorite isn’t listed then select Other in the poll and post the title.
I may buy a copy and enjoy it too.
I made this poll multiple choice.
However, keep in mind you have to select the ones you like all at once.
The poll only lets people vote one time. :smack:
I just learned that the hard way.
Bing is good, but so is Burl Ives and I Transiberian Orchestra and George Winston (although I’m not sure that December is technically a Christmas album.)
I voted “Other” or “OMG I can’t believe you forgot”: Vince Guaraldi’s soundtrack for A Charlie Brown Christmas.
+1. We’ll be at +25 by the end of the first page.
Two Amy Grants but no Elvis? That’s coal-in-your-stocking unacceptable.
a “Charlie Brown Christmas” by the Vince Guaraldi Trio. Great stuff!
+3 now.
Others:
Johnny Mathis with Percy Faith Orchestra: Merry Christmas - a timeless classic
David Benoit: Christmastime
The Manhattan Transfer: The Christmas Album
The Nutcracker Suite
True. Elvis holds the record for the most expensive Christmas album, a rare 45 (IIRC) in red vinyl.
Oops! I totally forgot about A Charlie Brown Christmas. I watch the special each year. I never got around to buying the soundtrack CD.
Anything by Bob Rivers.
Lacey things, the wife is missing.
Didn’t ask, for her permission
I’m wearing her clothes,
her silk panty hose.
Walking around in women’s underwear.
Adding a couple of my favorites. generally less well-known:
Barenaked Ladies: Barenaked for the Holidays (also includes two Hanukkah songs, and “Auld Lang Syne” to close out the year)
Reverend Horton Heat: We Three Kings: Christmas Favorites
Willie Nelson’s Pretty Paper. His “Silent Night” is superlative.
+4
Also Christmas Caravan by Squirrel Nut Zipper is fantastic.
The Little Drummer Boy (original title: Sing We Now of Christmas) by the Harry Simeone Chorale. This is a sentimental favorite from my youth (it came out around 1963). Kind of progressive for the time, and I think it’s held up very well overall.
Honorable mentions:
Noel by Joan Baez.
Ella Wishes You a Swinging Christmas by Ella Fitzgerald.
The Andy Williams Christmas Album – brings back memories of those holiday TV specials.
Messiah by G.F. Handel.
A Christmas Gift For You From Phil Spector – Even though his concluding message is a bit creepy to listen to nowadays…

Willie’s Xmas album, you heathen.
