There’s an article in the Reader about making nocino, something I’ve been wanting to do for ages.
However, there’s a problem – I’m having real difficulty finding green walnuts. There are no purveyors that I can find in the greater Atlanta area.
The internet is usually helpful but I’m getting no joy from this either except for more nocino recipes, which is nice but frustrating.
Any of you see green walnuts available for sale in your green market? Is there a tree in your backyard? I would love to try this (and maybe making some green walnut pickles too, an old-fashioned sort of thing, I know) … I’d love to try this. I’d share the final product with someone who’s able to help.
