I’ve just registered for the MB and decided to take the plunge to get that first post out of the way- so hi everyone! :slight_smile:

My question: How many people have been banned from this MB? And a related question, how many people are currently registered here?

(I hope this doesn’t seem like a ballsy/just asking for trouble question, especially for my first post, but I couldn’t help noticing all the “insertnamehereis banned” threads in one of the other forums, and it made me curious.)

Don’t know about the first question, but the answer to your second can be found by looking near the bottom of the first page, where all the fora are listed, and it’s 51, 147 members. I don’t think this includes “Guests”.

Seriously, they’ve recently begun explaining bannings in ATMB (About this message board) partially in hopes of curtailing Pit threads “Why was User X banned?”

Lots, but only a small percentage of the total traffic. I doubt a hard figure is available.

You can see on the front page how many registrations there’ve been. As to how many currently subscribed members there are, you might ask an Administrator.

The number of posters banned is smaller than the number of people banned, because the favorite jerk like behavior of all is posting under a new user name in order to flout the rule that got one banned the first time.

These are jerks, after all.

Tabby_Cat, I did consider that forum, but since my OP was also a “Hi I just joined” post, I figured this would be the best place. Maybe I was wrong…

waves Hi, Susie. Some reasons that number is so vague:
The population here is very fluid. People come and go and come back again. I took a short break last year. A couple of people were banned in my absence, but I couldn’t tell you who.
No running tally is kept, AFAIK. Or, maybe there is, but us non-mods don’t see it. Any particular reason you’re asking?
