Grey Cup Sunday

11:7 now… Esks got a touchdown!!

I’d just like to give props to a former SU baller on the Als who had a kick-ass 99-yard touchdown reception.

War Pat Woodcock!

War SU football mediocrity!

Durn it… Als won… mutters and wanders off

Not staying for the polite Canadian trash-talk? It’s probably for the best…

Naw I’m gonna go see if I can make my weekend better… been having a bad weekend overall. I was hoping we might win and help me feel a little better before I have to get back to school tomorrow.

Betcha lots of fights on Whyte Ave tonight…

I’m going out to loot Ste. Catherine Street…see ya…

AAACK! It was so close in the last two minutes…

::squints eyes and clenches fists as hard as he can, willing time to go backwards to give the Esks a second chance::

::hesitantly opens right eye, looks around, sees the game is still over::

Oh well, it was worth a shot. It was an excellent game though, well played by both teams.

And there’s no way I’d get within 10 blocks of Whyte Ave tonight.

So now that it’s evidently all over, we can reveal that it was the Edmonton Eskimos vs. the Montreal Alouettes, and although I’m not particularly a football fan, I’m kinda sorry I missed it. Was it broadcast on American TV? Just curious.

The article says the field was frozen solid, so the players had trouble running and getting traction? This isn’t something that normally comes up in American football, I don’t think.

Yah they were slipping around quite a bit on the field, kept changing shoes trying to get better traction etc etc.

Usually happens at this time of year, we’re just lucky it wasn’t snowing or something similar. Then it would have been even worse.

They really have an ‘outstanding Canadian’ award?!?!?!?

Your father has poor fashion sense!

Your city has poorly planned infrastructure financing!

So there…

The mayor of Montreal had planned the victory parade before the game, he was so sure we’d win.

See you in Regina next year  Go Riders!!!

Hey - that’s enough about Calgary right there, young fella!

Parade!
