Grey's Anatomy 5/14 unboxed spoilers

Oh wow. I did not see that last scene coming. They can’t kill Dr. B. off, can they? He’s as adorable as McDreamy.

Izzy, OTOH, has her own little killing off. I wonder if the actress is leaving the show?

I liked the interaction with Callie and Meredith at the end. George has finally forgiven her.

Too bad about Izzy. She was cute. Psycho, but cute.

It occurs to me that there are really only two characters on this show that I like: George and Burke. If they kill off Burke, maybe I’ll finally stop watching the damn thing!

By the way, was it the season finale?

The season finale is a two hour show tomorrow at 9 pm EST. I am rubbing my hands together gleefully because I don’t have to wait a week for another episode.

I am also a George fan. Did he just recently do something with his hair? The shaven look suits him.

As long as Christina stays then I’l still be stuck watching this show every sunday night.

One of the rumors flying around the Grey’s Anatomy board at ABC.com is that Burke is going to die, and thats where Denny’s heart is going to come from. crosses fingers that this isnt true! Burke is cool!

Also, I agree with Lavenderblue, George’s short hair suits him a lot, makes him look grown up. I hope Callie sticks around a little while longer, she works well with George if she can forgive Meredith like George has.

He went all flaggelent and butchered it out of grief after the freakshow with Meredith, and Kali’s looking after it for him now.

That was a hell of an eppy, weren’t it?

I liked the nice hot cup of STFU that Bailey served the obnoxious manager.

At first Izzy’s histrionics were just irritating me, but Ms. Hegel’s performance finally got me when George was brought in. Eep.

…and poor Dr. Shepherd airing out her grievances with an assembled audience was good, too.

Me too. Actually, I like the entire ensemble (with the possible exception of Justin Chambers, who doesn’t really sell “Alex” to me) and the writing is pretty damned solid, but if Sandra Oh was cast in Friends or Malcolm in the Middle, I’d watch that horrible shite too, because she can do no wrong.

Kicker, I thought, was the fiance cowering under the desk and his girlfriend’s look of utter disgust. It happened so fast I wonder if anybody else saw it.

I hope heart guy dies. His and Izzy’s romance is annoying me as much as its annoying the rest of the staff. And this is gonna break up George and his girlfriend.

I like Denny, but not enough to give him Burke’s heart. Burke is one of my favorites, and if he dies, I shall be very put out.

Biggirl, I loved that. “We are so done.” That girl should totally have stayed with Kevin Girardi.

I also wonder if Katherine Heigl is leaving the show. I can’t imagine any way they can keep her in the intern program after this.

McDreamy is Dr. Derek Shepherd not Dr. Burke.

I know, I’m so excited to get a two-hour fix tonight!!

I am a little upset at how unhinged Izzy got. Denny is on a treatment that could keep him stable for quite awhile; I know she freaked out because of the DNR papers but signing them doesn’t mean they’ll be used anytime soon.

I also can’t imagine that Katherine Heigl would be leaving the show but how could her character stay?

And how silly is it that Addison called McDreamy out in public? She isn’t so upset that she forgets where she is?? Fun though!

And just when the Meredith/McDreamy seemed to be put on the backburner: They’re the only ones who don’t realize they’re in love/“I do, I love him so much” (not the dog!). I guess when he says how through they are with such passion it means the opposite!
And then Callie telling George that she loves him. For once he is not the one pursuing the unattainable. Poor her, having it unresolved and wondering what he really thinks. It’s unsettling to see a needy woman like that.

The real question, of course, is - how do I manage to tape both 24 & this tonight - or which one can I get a copy of from the network website or iTunes or something?

Okay, I just scared my dogs screaming at the computer screen when I read that. You owe them an apology.

This episode definitely went over the top, but since this show was never about the medicine anyway, it was fabulous to see everybody lose it. Except Bailey, who has never lost it (except when she was in labor, and then she still recovered enough to yell at George, “Stop looking at my va-jay-jay!”). And Yang. Sandra Oh is just amazing. Izzy’s descent into craziness was great, although I too don’t see how she can stay on the show after this. Although, again, realism is not a hallmark of this show, so they can probably come up with some spurious reason (that equates to, “She’s still got a contract for X more episodes!”)

I saw the guy duck down behind his fiancee again. Loved the quick scene, and the speed with which she finally dumped him for good. I did NOT expect Burke to get shot. They better not kill him off, I will be seriously pissed off!

Two hours tonight. Man, can my adrenal glands survive two more hours of this.

bolding mine

I wanted to talk about this last night but no one made a thread (and I didn’t want to)!

I don’t want Burke to die either, hopefully this is just a way to wake Christina up and appreciate him more. It looks like he was shot in the head, right? I guess it’s a good thing that their cardio-thoracic surgeon didn’t get shot in the chest.

I agree, I don’t see how Izzy can stay an intern after that stunt. I really didn’t like how she was willing to let the other possible recipient die by basically stealing the heart. I was disappointed with Denny for letting her. It seems a bit of a god complex to think there is no way anything could possibly go wrong with her plan.

My thinking is that the obnoxious manager will end up as the heart donor. It looked like he got shot as well, right? So maybe Denny gets his heart and turns into an ass.

Let’s talk about Grey’s Reality. A guy shoots up his workplace gunning for the asshhole manager and gets away. The police are looking for the shooter. But there are no police at the hospital and, not only that, let the manager walk out the ER all by his lonesome.

Oh and Grey and McDreamy deserve each other. What a pair of holier-than-thou, whiny, self-unaware mopers!

The only witness to the stunt is George – and Izzy is his “family,” right? Sweet little George with his idealized notions regarding his obligations with regard to his cohabitants? (The other guy who has a clue about it is bleeding out in the foyer.)

Given everything that happened synchronously with it, it doesn’t seem impossible for the ethics committee to never hear of it. Plenty of distractions for all. One little cut wire on a day when all hell is breaking loose in the joint? Might slip by.

Of course, it’s more likely that Izzy well end up toothless and babbling on the streets of Seattle, but it might slip by.

I still have trouble believing that anyone in their right mind would choose whiny Meredith Gray over Addison Shepard. She’s really hot, plus she apparently combs her hair everyday, which I’m into.

Cluricaun, I’m with you. Addison is smart, hot, and gracious. Meredith is whiny, splotchy, and self-involved to the point of parody. However, both of them are too good for McPassiveAggressive, and I really, really wish that they’d *both * dump him. Addison can lure McSteamy to Seattle, Meredith can continue dating Hotty McVet, and if Derek just waits a few months, I’m sure he can find some new intern to manipulate.

I also really, really don’t love how often this show is doing the ER “place characters in physical peril” thing. It’s soapy in the *bad * way.

Yeah, aren’t they sexy!! :stuck_out_tongue:

I do wish she would dye her roots and spiff up the hairdo.

Which makes me think that this is ER crossed with Ally McBeal. But I still watch it. Mostly for Bailey anymore. She’s the only one I can stand. I did like The Chief, until I found out he had an affair with Ally’s, er, Mere’s mother back in the day.
