I’m really, really hoping that this dude with the geek crush on Keppner is a one-off. omg we have to put the socially awkward girl that has never shown nerd tendencies with the socially awkward nerd!
Also, I’m feeling kinda iffy about this whole episode. I’m so happy to be out of the Meredith and Cristina drama and seeing the older guys being awesome, but this whole episode reeks of condescension instead of the self-deprecating humour of Big Bang Theory.
I’m kinda not digging this episode. On one hand, I love seeing the plot being about the experienced dudes instead of the Mer and Cristina drama. On the other, I feel a bit insulted, because this isn’t the self-deprecating humour of Big Bang Theory, this is condescending to geeks.
Also, Webber is so funny! I love his quirkiness.

I really liked this episode - it was nice to get a bit of a break from all the chick-drama and focus on the gents instead.
Also, I didn’t find it particularly condescending to geeks. I realize that I’m taking my life in my hands here but people who think they are hobits, dress as hobits, move about the world as hobits, and talk about their hobit characteristics when in the hospital being assessed for their injuries are a bit…odd. I think poking fun at the oddness is no different than the pokes GA takes at other groups every week.
Hobbit. And the hobbit guy was coming from a comic convention or something, sure he was a little out there, but it’s not nearly the same thing as the lady (in real life) who wore a Star Trek uniform to jury duty.
I love Jackson’s mom! I also read today at Ask that Chyler Leigh asked for some extra time off for family which is why Lexie hasn’t been around much yet this season.
I…I was all ready to make a big rant about Mary Sue Meredith, but for the first time in her life, she actually shows some sense by not running after Zola.
Also, I love MomAvery’s meddling. I think I want Lexie and Mark to get back together and Avery and April to hook up. I love Keppner so much!
Thank you for this info. I’ve been wondering why she’s been on so infrequently this season, which has bothered me because Lexie, Avery and Sloan are my favorite characters. I’m glad that it’s at her request, which isn’t terribly surprising considering that she has three small children, not because the writers are trying to edge her out.
Um waitaminute? Meredith and What’s His Face deliberately bother and distract Bailey and then… Bailey pays for it? Seriously? What’s His Face needs to be written up for that shit. And Bailey shouldn’t give in to him! She should dump him. He should be apologizing to her!
Meanwhile, Webber is the biggest fuckface ever and I want to punch him in the face.
I’m also pissed at Owen for letting Teddy operate in her current state.
Yeah, the whole episode was a complete “WTF are these idiots doing in an operating room??!!! PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR FUCKING JOB BEFORE YOU KILL SOMEONE!”

Hrm, it appears that even in alternate reality, some things (ie, Shonda’s pet couples) are meant to be. Derek and Meredith are the perfect shining couple.
Addison makes this hard. I really, really want to love her just because I hate Meredith so much, but Addison also does such horrible things.
I liked how even though things were altered, the same people were drawn together anyway. I don’t believe in destiny but it does make for interesting story-telling.
I liked seeing Dr Percy (got killed originally in the shooting) briefly. Catch any other cameos?
And I loved his line, “Somebody shoot me now!”
That had me giggling, I’ll admit.

Yeah the preview really played it up so that Derek would be the dead one, which makes me think that would be too obvious. Who all was on that plane?
I have a feeling it’s Alex. After Katherine Heigl said she’s interested in coming back, it’d be an odd circumstance if Alex got killed when Izzie wanted to make amends (and then maybe Burke will come back to show Cristina some true love…not really).
