Re: PP - You know, I watch these shows because I *embrace the naked emotional manipulation. I figure that if you’re the kind of person who would never think of crying over your own crap, then crying for ten minutes a week over imaginary people is probably good for you. But brainless babies are TOO FUCKING MUCH. And the idea that harvesting the organs of a brainless baby with the consent of the mother is controversial among DOCTORS is fucking retarded. And I’m amongst the horniest humans known to man, but you know when I DON’T feel like fucking? Ten minutes after someone I love gives birth to a brainless baby. And then even less than that do I feel like playing eeny-meeny-miney-moe with multiple boyfriends, because SOMEONE I LOVE JUST GAVE BIRTH TO A BRAINLESS BABY.
Fuck you, Shonda Rhimes, for taking what was one of the more compelling characters on Grey’s and turning her into someone who spends the evening of the day that SOMEONE SHE LOVED DELIVERED A BRAINLESS BABY deciding which boy she likes best.
*Yeah, I’m sure she thinks she’s making a point and changing hearts and minds, but 1. it’s a fucking soap opera, no you’re not and 2. anyone who thinks that’s a bad idea should report for organ harvesting immediately.
So I just went and read some recaps for this season - wtf? Addison spends half the time saying she thinks of Amelia as a little sister, but then ditches her! And oh hey we couldn’t get a crossover where Derek goes to see his sister after she gives birth to a brainless baby?
When did she ditch her?
I was annoyed with the episode too, but they mentioned Amelia telling everyone she didn’t want Derek there. Although I suppose they could have called him and been told his airplane was missing

I too thought Derek was gonna shoot down the helicopter. Simpsons already did it, though.
Did he even know his sister was pregnant in the first place?
DianaG’s description of Addison’s behaviour kinda makes it seems like she checked out to deal with her own boyfriend trouble.
