I like that too, though I’ve only had tiny servings with my satay.

Trader Joe’s stocks papayas regularly. They’re huge, tasty, and cost around three bucks.

you need them green and unripe and that tends to be the problem, certainly here in the UK

I like hearing that others think cold sides go well with grilled fish. I’m not sure why, slaw with fish is very traditional, but there is something about a very good match between grilled fish in particular and cold vegetable sides that tend toward sweet and creamy. I also top seafood with a cold relish at times, with ingredients like onion, bell pepper, avocado and black olives. My wife absolutely loves that when I can get fresh gigantic sea scallops.
