How come I pay my cable bill every month to get programming like Nick at Nite…
Only to be denied the pleasure of watching complete episodes of “Facts of Life” because the network is so greedy it butchers the episodes to fit in more advertiser time…
Nothing is so irritating as watching a program, getting involved, and then being jarred by a sudden jump in the narrative. The edited versions they are showing are horrible, and its unfair…
And while I’m ranting, did you know that at least two episodes are not even being shown? “Dope” - a first season epiode with Helen Hunt that deals with Marijuana abuse. And the critically acclaimed “First Time” - dealing with the serious topic of losing one’s virginity. Is there any hope for fans of the program being allowed to watch programming that was apparently ok for the youth of the 70’s and 80’s but not today?
Nick at Nite has been doing some serious editing lately. I first noticed this when TV Land first came on the scene. Both channels seemed to be editing the syndicated version, which any fine TV connoisseur knows by now, is a trimmed version of the originally aired show.
Pretty pathetic.- they took a good thing and ran it into the ground.
“First Time” – That’s the one where Lisa Whelchel refused to appear because of her religious beliefs, isn’t it? And Natalie was the object of deflowering?
Alzarian Hey man, you take the good, you take the bad, you take it all and there you have… the fact that nick at nite is gonna screw every sitcom it gets it’s hands on. Sorry, such is life…
