Peterson himself said the hit was clean, but I guess you’d know better?
Do the Vikings have a first string quarterback? Who would that be?
::yawn::
Sportfans are so predictible. I live in Baltimore and work near DC, they’re just as bad… never let facts get in the way of a good whine.
Well, they have a guy who’s technically a “starter” on the depth chart but sadly, I don’t think we have a single QB who could even be a second stringer anywhere else in the league. We’re thinking of the Brad Johnson era as the Golden Years around here.
Not to brag or anything, flickster but I got to see the whole game from inside the stadium! [sub]OK, so that was just to brag.[/sub]
So apparently I have the gift of making every game that I go to at Lambeau a shut out. Sadly, the last one I went to was last year’s Patriots game and the shutout wasn’t in our favor.
Are you serious? At 8-1, I think the Packers have proved that they can handle Vikings regardless of who they have on the field
How are the Vikings doing this year BTW?
It’s about the softest 8-1 in NFL history. Their record is a result of the Packers playing in a lousy conference and a lot of cooperation from officials. Wait until they play somebody decent like the Cowboys (or even the Lions next week). Their record is a mirage. I know that Packer fans are exceptionally delusional but I’m happy to inform you that Brett Favre is never going to play in another Superbowl. I doubt he’ll make it past the divisional round of the playoffs, but even if the Packers got all the way to the Show, they’d just end up on the receiving end of an embarrassing asskicking from Brady and Moss. I almost hope the Packers do make it that far just to see them got squashed like bugs.
They suck. Isn’t it obvious? We at least have a franchise running back and a decent O-line to build around, though. Once Favre retires, the Packers are going to be the Raiders.
It would be third string at best if any of them were on Green Bay’s roster. That’s not to say that Rogers is a proven commodity, but I bet he would be welcomed in Minnesota with open arms.
I love watching you meltdown over the Packers.
They have wins against the Chargers and the Eagles at home. They have road wins against Denver, Kansas City, and the Giants. They’ve beat your team at home and on the road. I’ve heard of sour grapes before, but you’re delusional if you think that’s a soft schedule. Look at the Patriot’s schedule outside of one game.
As an obese, mentally challenged, alcoholic Packers’ fan, my math works out 11 for 45 as 4.09 yards per carry. Hell, if I throw in the receptions for you, AP was 14 touches for 59 yards, or 4.21 yards per touch. But I guess that’s 5 yards a carry in slim, smart, sober Vikings’ fan math.
Now that the Pack have played/toyed with the Vikings twice this season, I hope for a speedy recovery for AP as he is fun to watch. He also seems, from interviews, like a pretty classy human being.
Oh for fuck’s sake.
Did you fail to notice Daunte Culpepper set the NFL record for combined yardage (passing/rushing) by a quarterback in 2004? Or his 110.9 QB rating that year? Or 3900 yards, 40 (!) total touchdowns in his first season as a starting quarterback? His career QB rating of 90, which is better than ahem Favre’s?
Some of you people just don’t know how lucky you are.
I’m a Buccaneers fan. Would you like any of our starters over the last ten years?
I’ll take Steve Young.
Oh…you said the last 10 years.
That and in 19 games (that he played in Tampa) he threw 11 touchdowns and 21 interceptions and averaged 6.5 yards per attempt.
You’re on crack. They’ve been penalized at an alarming rate. Guys are being benched because of penalties and they’ve gotten knocked back off the goal line once or twice this year due to false starts and such nonsense.
They absolutely don’t have a soft schedule. Look at the teams they’ve played and beaten and take another look at how those teams did last year. Many of them were playoff teams.
And you can’t accurately say that the teams they beat aren’t living up to their expectations of last year. What throws a wrench in that equation is that each of the teams they played this year (and beat) has a loss on their record to the Packers. If you take away that loss and add a win many of those teams will be close to what they were last year, record wise.
It warms the cockles of my heart too. Sometimes I get into the Packers/Vikings debate with my friend from Minneapolis, and we have interesting discussions about rating the players, coaches, prior drafts, etc. It’s interesting and fun. But there is nothing like the spittle-flecked, delusional ramblings of good old Dio.
Yep, you found out our tasty little secret. We pay 'em off in cheese curds.
No whey!
