Don’t get the pleasure of watching many Packer games in Houston and was thrilled with the Texans on a bye week to get the Packers / Vikings instead. Pleasure was short-lived. With the Packers blowing out the Vikes, Fox pulled the plug and switched us to the Eagles / Redskins game.
I’m now “watching” the game coverage via the NFL.com Gamecenter. Let me just say, I hate the NFL broadcast rules…
This just might be the worst week I’ve had so far either straight up or against the spread. It was looking even worse a little while ago, but I still might only get 4 games or so right all of today. Hey, at least Fox pulled the plug when your team was winning and not like what’s happened twice now when I’m trying to watch the Broncos and CBS (pretty sure it was CBS both times) stops showing the game because the Broncos are being blown out by 30+.
Of course, the majority of the time I get Broncos games OTA, so I’m not in your position. Of course, I hate it when the Texans somehow get picked over the Broncos. Just because the Texans are in Texas doesn’t mean that anyone in El Paso (which is where I get the TV signal from) gives a damn about Houston.
Fox pulled the plug prior to him getting injured. I didn’t know that happened until just seeing a replay. However, up until that point the Pack had kept him fairly well contained.
The majority of Packer fans (who tend to be obese, mentally challenged alcoholics) are usually so dead drunk by the time the 4th quarter rolls around that they don’t much notice if you switch to a different game.
The Vikings were playing with their 3rd string QB and without their best receiver and their best defensive player. Congratulations, the Pack showed that they can handle the the Vikings second team as long as they make sure to go for Adrian Peterson’s knee.
“Cry me a River”
2nd ass kicking of the season by the Pack. Too bad they don’t play the Vikings again this season - they could go for the hat trick.
I hope they pulled Favre’s wife into the broadcast booth again just for your entertainment
I’ve got NFL Sunday ticket on Directv. Wonderful stuff. This is supposed to guarantee me viewage of any game I wish. When the game is broadcast locally, I’m required to watch it on the local channel and it’s blacked out on the 700 channels. If the local channel decides to go to one of the other games, I don’t get that game at all. Pisses me off! I should have the option to view on either the 700 number channels OR my local station. Or, if the local station decides to switch, Sunday Ticket should make that game un-blacked-out. Grrr…
But it sure is nice to flip from game to game. And Red Zone is the best. Player tracker rocks, too if you’re into Fantasy leagues.
I wanted to see Peterson play a full game instead of a highlight reel. Apparently the Vikings decided they had a better chance to win, once they got down, with Brooks Bollinger throwing the ball. THAT made sense.
Quite unfair, Dio, if you look closely as the camera pans their bloodlust swollen faces, you will note that they are not really any more obese than average for a Neanderthal/Canadian hybrid.
Fuhgedaboutit! Screw “major league” crapola, why in the world would you prefer to have the Dallas Cowboys rather than Garrison Keillor? A “world class” sports franchise here makes about as much sense as an Amish on a motorcycle.
Between the 30’s doesn’t count ass-munch. At least the average Packer fan can afford enough beer to get drunk.
Gee, and sorry about running up the score like that. I hope you guys don’t take it out on us in the playoffs.
