I am currently reading Iain M. Banks ‘Against a Dark Background’, and I’m not enjoying it too much because I’m starting to hate the protagonist. In the flashbacks Sharrow is revealed to have been a cruel, vindictive little bitch in her younger years, and though she’s supposedly learned from her past experiences, I still hate her. I hope the Huhsz catch her and torture her to death.
