Things My Girlfriend and I Have Argued About

This book is HILARIOUS. As is this website by the same name. I honestly don’t think there’s a dopester out there that can’t relate, at some level. I had never heard of Mil Millington (the author), who apparently writes for The Guardian. Is anyone aware of anything else he’s written?

I read the novel, after seeing his website. I was just a bit disappointed, as I wanted more family interaction, and more arguing with Ursula. Still, a good, cute read.

I’ve been looking at the website. I know that he’s exaggerating for comic effect, but the way he describes his girlfriend makes me wonder why he stays with her.

I love the website, but I did wonder what happens to Pel at the end. Did he wind up going to jail, or what? Anybody know, or did I forget/miss something?

I’ve been reading Mil’s site for a while and am on his mailing list. He gets asked that all the time (mostly from Americans, he says) and it’s explained in the FAQ. To me, it’s very clear from reading the site that he loves his girl friend very, very much. He’s having some fun at her expense with affection.

Haj

I kept surfing around the site and had a chance to think about it. I think it’s funny, but I guess I don’t really understand it as much because I’m only sixteen and haven’t had any experience with relationships.

Oh my god. From what I can tell, they’re both idiots who deserve each other, but I feel really REALLY sorry for their child, who will grow up with all kinds of psychological problems and who will probably take it out on HIS girlfriend/wife. At the very least, he’ll think arguing is a normal way of life. People used to want to hide their child abuse, now they put it on the web for other people’s entertainment.

Azure, there’s nothing to understand. They’re morons.

Just remember: If you haven’t found your mate by the time you get out of graduate school, you’ll never get another date again and will have to live out the rest of your life alone. Not that I’m bitter. Nooooo.

The book is pretty fun, an easy read. The site is hilarious.

I absolutely love that site! I send that link to all my friends.

I’m on his mailing list as well, which is pretty damn funny on its own. Alas, haven’t been able to get the book yet though.

K, I should have said “dopesters over the age of 20 who have had at least 1 major relationship and ‘get’ English humor.”

He calls her the psychopath?!
