I think it was a mercy-killing rather than anyone with urine-soaked trousers. I don’t think it would have been shut down if grude had taken a different tack with his OP - if he’d just did a standard complaint thread about being called a foul name, rather than the rambling one he did, people would actually have given him a hearing, I think. I mean, I find it interesting that that expression exists there. I also find the dynamics of grude’s maritial relationship interesting (in a trainwreck kind of way). But the way grude posted, it was never going to just be a commiseration/information thread.

The US can not stop 100% of the rapes, however there has been no claim to stop ALL THE RAPES. That is a problem with a ‘free’ country, people are free to be asshats until they are caught for whatever asshattery they’ve done.

Honestly I agree with some of the criticisms of me here, I admit I don’t understand thread etiquette.
Sometimes a thread gets moved, like the P-zombie one. My question was answered early on, but now people are having an interesting discussion which I follow but I don’t really have anything to add. Other times I don’t know if I should thank people who provided really good answers in the thread.
I have tried to practice better thread behaviour, I know I was pretty bad when I first joined. I do try to provide clarification or answer questions, except for extremely minor stuff.
And I’m sorry for the super personal threads, I have decided not to bitch about my life or family etc anymore. I realize people don’t like it, I have been under a lot of stress and I guess I had no one to talk to so I was using the board. I don’t really put forth a mask or filter, but I should. And yea my latest thread was probably ill advised, I get why it was closed.

Don’t know if you know about it but there’s a thread in MPSIMS called MMP specifically for people to post the super personal stuff that irks them. (MMP is an acronym for Monday Morning Post) People post any day of the week about the stuff that’s bugging them. Perhaps you could give that a try sometime. (There’s even a sticky at the top of the forum explaining it better than I just did.)
