Guess what's in the mail?

Just got in the mail (as in waiting for me yesterday):

How to Win at Low Limit Hold’em, Texas Hold’em for Advanced Players, and an early printing of the hardbound Skeleton Crew so that I can reread all of the great stories within.

Still waiting on delivery of the retail version of City of Heroes, but I can at least engage on the three day headstart.

Is this the complete set? (It sure felt like more than just 45 episodes!) And, what did you pay for this? Speaking of which, my office is located near a USMC barracks where the USMC marching band practices. They were playing “The Liberty Bell March”, better known as “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” theme. I was expecting a big foot to come dropping out of the sky any moment and go “Pthththt!”

Yep, that’s the whole set. There are only 45 episodes, but each episode has multiple sketches, which is what you were probably thinking about.

Amazon.com sells it for $163, but I got my husband the set at Costco for $89 (though in looking now, it’s gone up to $100). Click here.

I have a copy of the Zombie Survival Guide heading my way from the States. Should cheer me up. I always end up buying stuff at exam time.

Just blew £35 in a messed-up eBay transaction too (don’t ask).

Yaaaay, Lost Horizon! I really love that movie. Now if they’d only put my other favorite Ronald Colman film, The Prisoner of Zenda on DVD . . . Sigh.
