It’s the pub at the head of Smithfield. Lovely, cozy little place, live trad musicians every night with no airs and graces, and not for the tourists. What a real Irish pub should be, IMO. It’s where Billy Connolly played when he was making that program.
I’d guess it’s some shitehole around Smithfield He was skating last night.
I haven’t been up to Smithfield in ages. May check it out tonight / tomorrow. Have to see.
Oh - I just registered for NADS. I’ll check that out later too…
Gotta get some lunch. Or Guinness. Hmm. Let - Me - See…
Sounds like my kind of shitehole
€3.30 a pint of guinness last Tuesday.
The pint of the black stuff at Durty Nellie’s in the Warmoestraat in Amsterdam is the best I’ve ever encountered outside of the Emerald Isle. Beats the best London pubs, even.
A rowdy place, though. Lots of loud Brits in Man-U shirts, SKY Sports on 24/7. That kind of thing. Don’t wear your best suit.
Argh, you lucky bastards. I’m blessed if I can find a pint of Guinness under €4.50 over here.
Heh, so are we these days
