Guitar players: Help me buy a new half-stack

Hi,

the effects loop may not be the best place.

If your tuner is “true bypass” then you are likely fine.

True bypass is close to a straight wire when it’s switched out.

If there is a “buffer” then you may find some signal degradation. “Tone suck”

A clean signal path is the ideal.

An AB pedal will mute the amp while you’re tuning up.

I’m not that familiar with your Marshall head. I think you’ll get the best results from a tuner if you put the cleanest signal through it. So, the closer to the output jack of the guitar is better. Certainly before the Fuzzface, Small Stone, Big Muff, Octavia, Cry Baby Wah, Univibe, and Echo Plex.
