Guitar players, post your guitar pics

In response to a suggestion by An Arky in this thread , this is a thread in which guitar players are encouraged to post links to pictures of their guitars.

I’ll start with a group photo of my favorite four. Left to right: 1994 Fender Strat Plus, Epiphone Dot, Taylor 714CE, 1965 Fender Mustang.

Here’s my favorite guitar and here are myother ones that are loved a little less.

Durn, I typo’d my Taylor model; it’s a 710CE. Sheesh.

I’m short on pics so will just post a link if that’s alright… Alvarez acoustic electric.

Niiice, Croatalus! So, um, what’s your address and what time are you normally away from home?

I’ll try to do some pics later, but in the meantime, here’s a cheesy YouTube video featuring my main guitar, an ‘02 Rickenbacker 330 in Burgandy-Glo, with the added bonus of me a) sounding like a hick because I’d been a drankin’ and b) looking like I weigh 300 pounds due to a fan billowing my shirt (it was supposed to be billowing my hair, 80s power ballad-style, damnit!), oh, and c) random shots of people hovering over a dessert table…

Dang, I can’t watch youtube at work. I’ll check it out tonight.

Along with the other info you requested, you’ll need the code to my security system, too.

Okay, here goes:

  • Gracie - a 1973 Gibson Les Paul Limited Edition '54 Black Beauty Reissue (say that three times fast; or - now you know why I gave it a nickname ;)). My number 1 guitar; the one that has taught me the most about tone, playability and what it means to own and play a truly magic guitar (they are out there). Named after the cat in the picture because both are demanding diva bitches who purr when you treat them the right way.

  • 1957 Gibson Les Paul Special - my “but I really want to have one cool vintage guitar” guitar. Traded for it for a couple of First Edition books - I actually came across a guy who is a dealer in two things: vintage guitars and rare books, my two passions. It was my destiny to work a deal with him!

  • My Parts-o-Tele - I found someone’s failed Parts-o-Caster languishing in a local music store, selling for a fraction of what the parts were worth. It had a couple of parts I was looking for, so I bought it and swapped everything else out including the body and electronics, had the neck re-shaped, etc. My main gigging guitar because I have virtually nothing in it and it’s a Tele - the super-versatile “Plank” that is good for anything…

  • Japanese Les Paul Replica - described in this thread, post #33 - great guitar, soon to be sold to fund my next project guitar…

I have a Gibson J-45 acoustic that I adore (this is a link to an online pic, not my specific guitar). And a few others, but I don’t have pics and they are not part of my main guitarsenal ( ) anyway…

What’s that array of stuff on the body of that one six-string? Are those individual transducers?

It’s a Babicz Guitar and has the strings going across the whole top of the soundboard. It’s a really nice, booming sound . The guitar also has an adjustable height for the strings by the turn of a screw on the back without going out of tune. It’s a gimmicky guitar for sure, but I actually like it.

Wow. I definitely learned something new today.

Nice guitar, lieu. Now you need to buy WordMan’s Japanese LP.

What - my hints weren’t obvious enough?

I was going to ask stpauler about the Babicz, too - I have played a bunch; I hate the ones with synthetic tops (because I am a complete snob and issues with synthetic guitar tops is my problem and I understand that (takes a breath and repeats this mantra)) but I love the sound of the ones with natural tops. That anchoring system for the strings definitely changes the vibration of the top…I don’t think of them as gimmicky - I accept the design as legitimate but different.

If I was allowed to expand my guitarsenal (ANY excuse to get that word into a post! :stuck_out_tongue: ) I would definitely consider one…

[url=]Carvin SC90 - my only electric guitar. Workhorse for sure. Plays incredible and feels great.

That’s a MusicMan bass off to the right, but it’s not mine. I have an acoustic, but no pics yet.

Hmmm, linky no worky - at least for me…could be a bandwidth/firewall issue on my end of things…

Nope, I choked hard on the coding. Let’s try it again.

Carvin SC90.

2008 Fender American Deluxe Telecaster.

2008 Schecter C1 Classic

1971 Gibson SG Deluxe w/ frankenbridge.

1980ish ? Electra Pheonix “strat” clone, and SqueegeeJr playing it, picking “Walk Don’t Run”.

Don’t I know it. Even a crush on Gracie can’t quench my desire. But let’s face it, that’d be like one of Bridget Bardot’s dogs going to the owner of a Pyongyang deli. I can’t do that to such a beautiful guitar.

Man, I’m really digging WordMan’s '57 and squeegee’s '71.

Great thread idea, give everybody G.A.S., like bringing a keg to an AA meeting! :smack:

Dude, if we had to live up to our guitars in advance I’d still be playing my Harmony Rocket. Getting a better guitar elevates your aspirations, makes you a better player as a result. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

squeegee’s brand new Tele is a beauty, too.

And speaking of G.A.S., I suspect fellow-sufferer Le Ministre de l’au-delà may have something interesting to show us.
