Bad linky:
Crap - it got pulled off the Gear Page for copyright reasons. Here’s the official vid on youtube…
That’s fantastic!
The one omission is Ed Bickert; the incredible jazz tone this man gets out of the instrument deserves mention in the context of the Telecaster and its versatility.
Great video, Wordman. I am always tern between the Strat and the Telli. It is great to have two superb but distinct voices to work with.
That was sweet. I already own a very, very nice Tele, so now that piece makes me yearn for another. Darned GAS.

Also check out Tommy Emmanuel, out of Australia. he is fucking amazing.

Funny thing, there is the same divide on the bass side. Bassists are torn between the classic tone of the Fender Precision and that of the Fender Jazz.
I’ve heard his acoustic work many times - thanks to you, I just went to YouTube and searched Tommy Emmanuel Telecaster. Well, there went a very pleasant half hour…
My ASAT: definitely my baby. I still want a stock Tele, though.
That was really a delightful six minutes, WordMan…thank you for posting that. And hey, Wilko Johnson! I hadn’t thought about him for years, not since I was listening to Dr. Feelgood and trying to learn those choppy licks of his.
Great video indeed!
I must say I truly love my Tele. I started playing on a stratocaster squire (good starter guitar), and I think I’ve just always been a Fender guy from the beginning.
Here’s my shameless addition to the thread.

I don’t often see him playing a Telecaster. But his brother Phil does.
