Guten Morgen MMP

Back from gettin’ twuck’s oil change. I had enough credits for a free one. YAY!!! Also went by the sto’ to get a few things. Why is it that I always need a “few things” from the sto’? Now I’m at da cave and have a pot roast goin’. In a bit I shall head out to do yahd irk.

LiLi I agree with mooooooom. Hand the little kneebiters a dust rag and tell 'em to have at it.

I don’t believe you’ve seen it since he took over the basement bathroom for all the works - it is way cool!

I’ve got a serious hankerin’ for brownies, but I don’t feel like making any, and I don’t feel like driving to the store to get some. Where’s the damned Brownie Fairy? Out goofing off, no doubt. Bitch. :stuck_out_tongue:

Here’s a helpful hint… If you do make some and are out of oil it’s probably not ok to substitute olive oil instead. Just sayin’.

I AM OUTRAGED!!! I was just mapping out my classes for the summer and I’m going to have to go to school on my birthday for the first time ever in my life.

Eh, whatever. Right?

That’s a defense mechanism so you don’t box them up and send them to Abu Dhabi with Nermal.

Blurf. I’m planning on another thrilling day of doing nothing. And for all you Agony Aunt Ryl fans, today is a gold-star day. I have cataloged the first official sighting of a Guestzilla in the wild!

I’m going on vacay tomorrow so today is Firday and I cleaned up my desk last week so I’m spending the majority of the day goofing while earning pay (well, I’ll work if someone asks for something but I’m not volunteering anything).

Elebentyone!1!!!

There’s a App for that…

I’m sure Dotty will take good care of them when they show up on her doorstep. (or is it Dubai?)

Nermal OTOH… I’m pretty sure he’d ship back to Garfield toot sweet.

There was an episode of Garfield and Friends where Garfield got shipped to Abu Dhabi by accident and the city was crawling with cute kittens.

It’s very blustery and windy and cold today. So I shall go hike up a mountain.

I stopped following Garfield around 1982 or so, when it had just recently jumped the shark (barely cleared the shark, too, with all that weight on him!:D)

Yeah, I’m old… :o

He needs to cut down on the lasagna.

You too? Of all the things to cook, it’s always amusing when two people independently decide to cook the same thing.

Now, if you says yours is in a Le Creuset dutch oven with Vidalia onions, I’m going to get worried.

Well, there’s brownies on the kitchen table if you need them. And if you’ve got some time, that friendship bread starter needs baking.
I had a kid this morning get mad and punch a wall. Now he can’t move the two last fingers, and his mom is taking him to get x-rays. Teenage boys. Testosterone poisoning on two feet.

I think I should have stayed in bed this morning.

I just got a rejection letter from a show and I’m pissed. Intellectually, though, I didn’t even really want to drive all that way (it’s 3 hours from here and the cost of gas would eat me alive) and if I’ve got to have surgery on my knee I probably would have had to cancel. In other words, it’s probably just as well that I didn’t get in… So why is my brain being such an idiot about this? :dubious:

It’s doing the best it can? :stuck_out_tongue: (d&r)

Blurf.

My mom and I went to an antiques show and Ikea on Sunday. I found a quilt, teal salt and pepper shakers (they’re huge!), and a chest of drawers to use as a tiny dresser at the antique show. Then we got a bunch of stuff at Ikea. And my parents brought over the corner bookcase my dad had been refinishing for me.

I’m panicking a little because most of my extended family is going to be down next weekend and they’re expecting to come over. Except the only usable piece of furniture right now is my bed. I can’t put away my clothes yet, because where we were going to hang clothes rod has no studs. So dad is building a freestanding thing, but that won’t be done until next weekend at least.

I know I’m going to get some packages by Wednesday. But my mail box key doesn’t work so I have to go to the Post Office to get the mailbox rekeyed tonight. So annoying.

I’ve been taking pictures, but I want to put them on my website and not just my livejournal, except I have to redo my website first. And there’s no internet at home to work on it. And I’m distracted by another fun personal project.

So, yeah, panic, procrastination, and annoyance. Moving is fun!

I just thought it had to be said.

Ich habe Angst! (I am afraid!)
My new boss is great - however, she is very, very pregnant and we all thought she would have had the baby this weekend.
However, in checking email this morning I see she is at the office.

I just know her water is going to break while it is just her and me in the office - and for those of you who remember the fire in my laundry room, where I called 411 instead of 911, you know I am not the one to have around in times of crisis.

Somehow I think this is going to turn out like a bad sitcom today…water and blood everywhere, DMark frantically trying to find scissors and opting for the paper cutter, lots of screams (from me), baby crying, DMark passed out cold on the floor, bits of placenta hanging from his ear…this will not be a good day…

Morning all! I am up, cafinatin’ and watching the toddler watch Yo Gabba Gabba. That show is tippy man. Made me wish I still smoked the indo. I made a honey oat whole wheat loaf this morning in the bread machine. Yummy in my tummy!

Yes you are. Garfield & Friends was the show back in the day. It was the beginning of the Saturday Morning Cartoon Block. Yep, I’m a young’un.

As continuing proof that YouTube serves a valuable purpose in this word, I offer you the Abu Dhabi Song. I miss Lorenzo Music. :frowning:

T-30 minutes.

And I used to like Garfield too. Old? No way!

Try as I might, I cannot read this thread title as anything other than Gluten Morgen. What’s that all about?

I have a hangover today because hubby and I decided that two bottles of wine yesterday was a good idea.

And I had to take my 90 year old mother in law to her doctor’s appointment. She understood that she had to pee in the cup but missed the part where she was supposed to write her name on the cup and put in in the window. She exited the bathroom and handed the cup to me. Ewwww! But I bravely wrote her name on it and put it in the window. I’m still kinda grossed out.

But she’s healthy as a horse and will likely live another 10-15 years. Her brain, on the other hand, is slowly turning to jello. That’s a bit sad.

The workers finished laying our new patio this weekend and now it’s supposed to rain all week so we can’t even enjoy it. Maybe by this weekend.
