From the fact that the teacher didn’t scold you for slapping his hand away, I gather that he or she did not see what had happened to you, but had only heard your voice and reacted to that. Contrary to what we try to make you think, we can’t see around corners or through walls. It is your responsibility to let school authorities know when you are being abused.
I would report him and nip this problem in the bud. You have every right to be protected while you are at school.

I’ve been the teacher in the crowded hallway, and it’s really easy to distinguish between a kid cutting up and getting too loud and a kid defending herself from harrassment. So, either the teacher is an asshole and thinks it’s okay for a boy to harrass a girl OR the teacher is a total wimp and figured they needed to look like an authority figure but wasn’t up to taking on the boy.
Do exactly what Rhiannon said, flamingbananas, and follow it up with a visit to the principal.
