Guys: Is TV chef Anne Burrell attractive?

There hasn’t been a smokin’ hot female TV cook since Julia Child.

Then why did she Jump what’s his name from Dinner Impossible after that one episode of Iron Chef America?

She was a guest on Guy’s Big Bite. Talk about separated at birth!

The two really did seem like twins.

I can absolutely believe that! Did she wear her sunglasses backwards on the back of her head?

She being Cat? Anyway, I don’t watch too much Food Network, so I didn’t see the incident that you’re talking about.

Yeah. She being Cat.

Go to 5:22 here:

I see nothing wrong with Anne Burrell, but I refuse to cheat on my one true tv-cooking-love, Giada De Laurentiis.

I’d do Rachel in a heartbeat. The rest don’t interest me at all. Except maybe Melissa D’Arabian.

Goodness. I guess she’s some people’s physical type, but from the clips of her show I’ve seen she’s pretty off-putting overall. That accent is like something of Hollywood Upstairs Acting Academy and the writing is awful! I hope the recipes are at least good.

Annoying IMHO. I’ve watched 10 or 15 minutes of a couple of her cooking shows and while she seems like a good cook ( she damn well better be, considering her pedigree as a chef and culinary instructor ), her patter seems both forced and overly precious. Do not like.

She’s far less irritating in her stricter instructor incarnation in the Worst Cooks… show, but that show is vastly annoying for reasons other than her, so I haven’t watched that one much either ;).

It’s a comedy routine. She’s supposed to be a bit over the top. And though the early shows occasionally seem forced, she’s got pretty good comedic skills. And the recipes are pretty good.

Her sidekicks will probably be gone after the first season, though.

OK, you caught me. I guess she’s been living a lie. I hope her wife doesn’t find out.

She was also Mario Batali’s sou chef on Iron Chef America. Pretty good credentials right there.

Who are the attractive female TV chefs TO YOU?

Anne? Nope
Rachael? Yes, but not enough to overcome her perkiness. No breasts.
Giada? Yes. Great rack; head too big for body though.
Nigella? Yes, but last I saw, her age is beginning to show. Not that I’m a spring chicken, but this is about attractiveness.
Paula? Not in the least
Spice Goddess? Not bad, but I prefer Aarti Sequeira.
Mrs. Neely? Nope
Sandra Lee? Nope - she looks as fake as her cooking
Others? “Bitchin’ Kitchen” chick on CookingTV is nice, as long as her real self isn’t as over the top as her TV persona.

When “Rache” first came on the scene, I absolutely fell in love, and watched her all the time. Then her voice started to grate on me, along with her stupid little phrases like EVOO, “stoop,” “yum-o!” and so on. So I watched with the sound off.

Eventually I found a website dedicated to hating her all she stood for, and one poster compared her smile to Jack Nicholson’s Joker. That did it, and now all I can think of when I see her is the female Joker. Plus her bust seems to change sizes every time I see her.

Neely’s a bigmouth as far as I’m concerned. Never liked her.

Sandra’s a Stepford Wife, as has been mentioned.

Paula? getawayfrommefast

I’d say Nigella or Ingrid. Or both, simultaneously. Especially if I had a million bucks. Chicks dig dudes with money.

I’ve seen that behavior with straight women and gay guys a lot, and the most sexual person I ever met was a lesbian. Combining the two wouldn’t surprise me.

It was…unexpected…like Flay jumping up on his cutting board. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll be completely honest, even if it makes me sound like a dick:

Anne Burrell seems like she would be one hell of a fun lay, but I would not want to spend a lot of time with her otherwise, or have any sort of actual relationship with her.

I was going to say the same of Rachel Ray, but after further thought, she’d probably be as annoying in bed as she is on her show, so no.

Giada, though, oversized head and all, is the whole package. I fell in love with her the first time I saw her, and have not yet changed my mind. She is my celebrity chef fantasy wife and lover.

Nigella all the way for me, with Laura Calder being a distant second.

Holy god is Nadia G annoying. I think she is Quebecois but trying to pull off an Andrew Dice Clay accent? Her show is really painful.

I hope not. The sidekicks are parts of the little details that make it fun. You start a whacking away at the details and pretty soon you cross a line where it stops being so unique.
