Just reading this thread makes me want to wash my hands!
Men, and being one I know, are just nasty. What I never understood are the puddles of piss in front of urinals. I know some “splashback” is expected, but I mean I have seen some puddles that you need a life jacket for!
As a father of 3 boys, let me just say…boys are very likely the ones (but not the only ones) who hose down the seat because they don’t have total control of their aim.
In addition to the reasons given above, there is also always going to be some not insignificant segment of the male population with some degree of “pee shyness”, and these folks will generally prefer to use the stalls for more privacy. Not everyone is equally comfortable with whipping it out in front of others, y’know.
