I was explaining why the rock throwers threw the rocks. They felt that pushing this issue would lose them votes, and help keep Bush in the White House. It pissed them off. Being pissed off does not make it right to throw rocks. Or staplers. But it was easy to understand their frustration.
Let me explain.
Everyone knows that if we legalize gay marriage, then polygamy will follow shortly*. And once that happens, then you, your wife, and the cute guy can all get hitched, and then everyone will be happy. See how amazingly wonderful everything works out when the Democrats are in control?
*Of course it was also a known fact that if New Hampshire allowed civil unions, then polygamy will shortly follow. No doubt Gary Bauer will soon be along to explain why he was wrong about that.
I thought that sex with dogs was supposed to be the second thing after gay marriage? So hard to keep track. But I am quite certain based on Republican propaganda that hetero marriage will be outlawed as soon as gay mariage is legalized. So since I have great hope that legalized gay marriage IS going to be here in my lifetime, I’m kinda looking around in my neighbohood to see which one of the other dads would be the most snuggly. Those dads who are taken by suprise and get the dregs will sure be sorry.

The driver wasn’t arrested for driving the truck with his bullshit on it. He was arrested for causing a public disturbance and pinning a police officer’s arm against his truck. He’s every bit as free to say whatever hateful bullshit he cares to, just like everyone is free to call him on it and tell him to get lost.
You might want to think twice before giving up on our current system. Our current system is the one that lets you go around blithely telling loving homosexuals that their relationship is “an insult to your marriage.” You seem to enjoy doing that.
But I guess the part that bugs you is that this is the same system that lets other people call you out for being a bigot. Because if people call you on it, they might actually have to think about the hateful shit they’re saying, and they might even have to change their minds! And then you’d have homosexual people who are happy and living their lives in peace! I’m sure the founding fathers didn’t want that.
