HA! The IRS "Scandal" Was A Crock O' Shit!

Told ya so! Told ya so! Neener neener neener, told ya so!

This thread is an opportunity for you tighty-righty Ricky Retardos to line up and apologize for being such total dipshits as to believe this crapopalooza!

http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/gop-lawmakers-say-irs-scrutiny-likely-not-politically

Morans! There you guys were, rolling around on the ground screaming your heads off! Jackboots! Gestapo! More jackboots! Gazpacho! And a hearty “Fuck You!” to Darryl “Lying Sack o’ Shit” Issa, Queen of Derange County, CA. Odds on an apology from him or Sean “The Great Giant Head” Hannity are selling on InTrade at 10,000 to one.

Any chance at all you guys will stop getting suckered by these bozos? Any?

Were there people on this MB who were claiming Obama was personally involved? More than one or two nuts? Even that many?

Is it impossible for this to be a “scandal” unless president Blackenstein was personally involved. (Credit to Bill Maher for that expression.)

Actually, it’s an old movie.

Why are you so excited? I have it on good authority he doesn’t jaywalk, either.

Just what number would constitute a tipping point in your mind?

So according to your theory a Democrat congressman saying Obama was involved would make it true?

If the congressman had any sort of decent evidence? Sure.

It’s one of those ‘absence of evidence is not evidence of absence’ things.

If you make an accusation, it’s on you to come up with the evidence. They did. It was shitty. In this case, the congressman called out members of his own party for their lack of non-shitty evidence.

Maybe he’s wrong. If so, it’s on the accusers to come up with some evidence that isn’t shitty.

If the President does it, that means it is not jaywalking.

Bravo!

“Democrat” is a noun. “Democratic” is an adjective. The congressman is a Democrat, but he is a Democratic congressman.

I’m getting so sick of this little grammatical ha-ha.

Awesome! A whole fort made of straw!!!

 1. Actually, I think the number is so small, if it is not 0, that it would make sense to call them out by name in this thread rather than throw this charge out to a whole class of people, most of whom never made such a claim.

Call them out by name? That would be rude! Worse, it would be partisan! As you surely must know by now, I am the very soul of delicacy and sensitivity. .

And did I not mention Daryll Issa, the central crux the rectal biscuit?

Didn’t Boehner ask who was going to jail for this, implying that there was something criminal going on? Or was that a different “scandal”? I’m losing track of the outrages.

OK, I won’t spend a lot of time ferreting out all of them. But friend adaher made exactly that claim just this morning:
On the bright side, this now puts the lie to the idea that the IRS is “independent”, an early talking point in the IRS scandal. The law states that the IRS is supposed to enforce the employer mandate, but the administration claims the power to stop the IRS from enforcing the mandate. Thus, the IRS does take direct orders from the administration and it not actually independent.
Your not going to quibble over the difference between “the administration” and “Obama”, are you?

No you didn’t.

This is John you’re talking about. He’s going to quibble so much it’ll leave a puddle on the floor.

Well, that’s the trouble with quibbles. (OK, positively the last time. Never again.)

No, I’m going to “quibble” about the fact that he is only tangentially referencing this particular scandal and is talking about Obamacare. It’s unclear that he is claiming, int hat post, that Obama directed or was even aware of what was going on wrt the IRS and Tea Party groups.

There were several threads actually about this particular issue, so go dig there and find a quote from “tight-righties” on this MB about Obama using the IRS to go after his enemies.

This open ended pitting is directed more at thin air than anything else I can see, as far as this MB goes. Despite this being a fairly liberal board, there are still plenty of conservative posters. How many, exactly, were claiming Obama involvement in this?
