Ever 5 putt?!

Paul Goydos on the Senior tour was leading by 1 on 17, putting for birdie from 35’. Watch it, and take heart that however badly you hacked up the course last weekend, you didn’t freaking 5-jack any greens! :smiley:

Wow - in addition to the obvious, there were a few surprising things about that sequence:

  1. He hit the first putt pretty well, to within 4 feet.
  2. It wasn’t a classic blow-up/tantrum - he seemed to do everything right for putts 3 and 4 (mark the ball, take time, reset) - albeit putt 4 was an awful ball-strike.
  3. Nothing rolled down a slope to 20 feet - he was always within 4-5 feet after putt 1.
