Now, I don’t want to be the one to take my ball and go home, especially since I conducted the last successful trade (with Dragoness), but I think things are getting a little silly. USCDiver Johnson is right! We need to slice up these idle portfolios* and let us all see where we stand after that. It will either be no trading or a flurry of trading and then we’ll be done with it.
So from here on out: Doctor 1138 Corporation is enacting a voluntarily halt on all trading for 48 hours. During this period, hopefully everyone will be accounted for or probated.

While I agree with the sentiment, Doctor Who it’s a little disingenuous of you to halt trading when you have roughly twice the resources of any other single player. You’re basically leaving me and Dragoness to stare at each other and twiddle our toes in the sand!
Hal hasn’t made a post in 3 days, Priceguy’s been around this page, but hasn’t made any efforts at true offers or counteroffers. Everyone else is gone baby gone!
All that being said, I’m all for waiting to see what happens. Either the defunct players’ portfolios will be probated in time for some last minute wheeling and dealing or this thread will die a lonely death with 3 players.

I agree, and I had a counter-offer for Doctor Who too, and a few more for USCDiver. But, fair enough- If another portfolio is being probated (er, is it?) I’ll wait.
Well, now hang on you two - what exactly am I doing that’s disingenuous? Sure, I have twice the resources - I’m also splitting my take in half. I know enough rules to know that I do have to make more trades before I can come close to winning (or even competing in) this game.
Nothing disingenuous about openly and frankly stating that I’m on hold and why. Honestly, it’s a little silly to think that between the three of us active players, we can make all the trades that we need to be satisfied.
So, with all due respect, I don’t intend to abandon the game or end all trading, and it’s a little ridiculous for the two of you to feel miffed by my actions. Better to feel irritated at the people who signed up and then abandoned the game.
Let me reiterate, that, at this point, I think we’re stuck in a “hurry up and wait, let’s see what happens” standoff.
Just FTR, I’m not annoyed at you at all, Doctor. However, you must admit that that’s not entirely true- having twice the resources and splitting your take in half will net a lot more points than having half the resources, simply because more letters means more point-getting combos- you can easily have more than twice the combinations that you would have with half the letters.

MadTheswine may be going into probate tomorrow. And - does anybody want to register an opinion on if I should stick with the probate precedent I set with percypercy, (just come up with an allocation mix as quickly as possible and act on it,) or try something fancier, involving player participation before settling on a final division of assets?
I say set up the pieces for silent auction! That would make it fun. Give everyone 24 hours to figure out how many of their total end points they are willing to give up in exchange for an item and pm the bids to you. The highest bidder gets the letter, rule etc. Anything that doesnt get a bid gets burned.
