I must admit I’m slightly confused now. Unless my copy of scroll 17 is wrong, I don’t see any trades you’ve made that would be an issue. Of ocurse, you have other information I don’t.

Oh, I wish it was a clarification issue. No, we were intentionally given an incorrect rule.
There’s no way I can explain it without sounding petulant, unfortunately…chrisk had his reasons, and it’s his game, so I don’t begrudge him those reasons. Besides, we **could ** have realized it if we were paying closer attention - actually, I should have realized it. Phi never did see the real rules.
Needless to say…it’s utterly screwed us.

I’ll need some clarification from Chrisk on what exactly is going on here.
It was a little surprise I put into an unusual situation. Because the greatest advantage phi/Teach had in their merger seemed to be the combining of secondhand rule info, rules that they had seen and didn’t own, I introduced two slight innacuracies when I gave them their rule update for the team-up. One rule that ArizonaTeach had seen and phi2dao hadn’t was mis-stated, and vice versa - the sort of mistakes that might reasonably have happened if two confederates where whispering to each other and trying not to be overheard.
Because the same PM was sent to both participants in the merge, if the players had been paying a lot of attention to the rules that they had already seen in that batch, they should each have spotted something was up, probably pm-ed me back about the ‘mistake’, and then found a way to signal their partner about the required correction in thread, like Arizona did in post 568.
Unfortunately, neither of them seemed to clue in so quickly, and I realized that Arizona was planning strategy based around both of the misstated rules, completely forgetting the version he had seen previously, so I sent another PM out to alert them to the situation. Very sorry if things got out of hand, and I’d like to reassure all players that PMs from conventional trades would NEVER be tampered with in that fashion.
I understand Arizona’s frustration and desire to reassess before continuing the game. I don’t think that the partnership is in that bad a position, though, and would hope that the two of you continue active play through the week.
And while I’m not trying to be too difficult here, ‘signing the load over to’ one partner is something that I’d take issue with. The partnership of phi/Teach is 50-50, it was specified as that when you partnered, and that’s a term that is unchangeable and insoluble.
